  • this ain't even the best scene in THIS movie

  • I would check out the whole movie called, "From Freedom to Facism"

  • Comment removed

  • dumbest fucking scene in the history of cinema is a more accurate title.

  • Obviously, you've never seen Shawn Of The Dead?

  • never make fun of nerds cause you might end up working for one

  • @Robby303 ...so who doesn't make fun of the boss?! (hell's the matter with you...?)

  • I know you think this is the best scene ever but...

    ...it's not your fault.

  • I love good will hunting but calling this the best scene from any movie in existence is a bit extreme. I personally would pick any scene from goodfellas or apocalypse now over this.

  • SovereignStatesman -if that's a back handed insult, its lost on me.I hope it isnt though, cos I meant nothing rude to anyone.Or,were you commenting on my first post about Damon's character. If so,I agree with you.

  • Some little snot-nosed douchebag in a Mary Sue movie-role.

Only a total suck-ass could like this.

  • Not even the best scene in the movie, nevermind world!

  • ps,..ya know,I was considered rather advanced kid when I was small.I was pushed up another grade, and when it was that I was 14,in with high schoolers, who really hated me,I quit paying attention to anything.I didnt need to.I learned more on the outside of school, then I ever did IN school. I traveled the world on my own to learn all I have.

  • awe man,..this isnt anything outstanding.Tho I do like Stellan Skarsgaard. Damons character is a jerk.I hated him.

  • @ChimeraAZ

That's standard Mary Sue, i.e. the act like complete jerkasses but they're still the center of the fucking universe.

It's called a "Black Hole Sue."

  • wrong

  • "Hey CJ you know why I never finished school? Because I was too intelligent". Rider from GTA San Andras

  • This reminds me of school, everything was so fucking easy and pointless I dropped out, couldn't fucking stand the boredom. Now I get discriminated against even when I'm applying for a shitty job. School doesn't always = Education, I'm more educated on my own that most college students. The only challenging course I took was law and physics and even that was too easy.

  • @MrROTD same boat, my friend.

  • I hear dudes say this shit all the time while they sit around and smoke away their lives. Its also proof that work ethic is more important than raw intelligence. you have a gift yet you chose to throw it away because it was to easy? WTF dude if your really that smart you could have played along for a few years and been rich right now. So how fucking smart are you really? Obviously your a dumb ass because you threw it all away..... Its never to late to recover buck up and do it!!

  • @85Funkadelic I am smart, funny, talented at music, mountain-biking. I enjoy every minute of my short existence on earth. I have two beautiful children, they're very bright. How dare you say I'm not wealthy, look at the wealth in my life. Why did you comment about smoking? I recently quit smoking ciggarretes and I smoke cannabis occasionally. Please don't assume I think everyone should drop out, most people need help to learn . You should never drop out, your English is bad.

  • "Your English is bad" Should be "Your English is poor" unless you mean my English is evil? Also you misspelled cigarettes lol. Yeah my English skills are poor. Sorry I insulted you by calling you a dumb ass that was out of line. I just see your comment as arrogant and Ive heard the same story out of many friends who were really smart and yet did very little with their gifts. It honestly sounds dumb to say I didn't finish school because I was too smart so I got bored.

  • @85Funkadelic But seriously I think education is good, but not for everyone. Thanks for sharing your view.

  • @MrROTD you're correct, school doesn't always = education, but unfortunately it is the intelligence of 'playing the game' which is most valued by society.

  • @MrROTD If you got bored from school, what makes you think you wont get bored from your job?? just sayin'.. But I wouldnt hire you.

  • Matt Damon was great in this film

  • Wats so good bout a grown man groveling...

  • Holy shit, I'm like this guy.

  • wrong

  • Lmao! Best title ever..in the history of the world.

  • Comment removed

  • I used to be the best scene ever, but I took a matt damon in the knee

  • piss off mate. I didn't see any Chuck Norris. It isn't possible 2 say ''best'' and ''Chuck Norris'' in 1 sentence.

  • Ummm, ... I wouldn't call this the best scene in any movie. ... It's definitely good! But best? It's like saying "Citizen Kane is the greatest movie of all time". There is no ONE greatest movie. There are only the best movies.

  • were are all the guns shoot outs???

  • THIS IS JUST A SCENE LIKE ANY SCENE.. BEST IN THE WORLD!!!! LOL.. THE BEST SCENE IN MOVIES IN THE WORLD IS THE HELICOPTER RESCUE SCENE FROM SUPERMAN THE MOVIE PURE AND SIMPLE!!... THIS WAS JUST A SCENE OF MATT DAMON BEING A SPOILED CHILD!!! OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING???

  • @bellhairrat1 Are you retarded?

  • @tlam1996 you obviously are retarded to ask such a RETARDED! question and expect a reasonable response ask a reasonable question and you'll get a reasonable response you monkey!

  • Why is it that every time I see someone post a clip from this film Matt Damon is always acting like an arrogant douche?

  • @xHossome because he is?

  • @astroboirap If you've seen Team America World Police, that's how he really is. Any liberal yahoo from Hollywood shouldn't even live in this country. They are a joke, and the real enemy. Matt Damon really is arrogant, and has this idea in his head that he knows everything.

  • @Jagnole101 liberalism is better than the alternative. anyways america is a shit hole anyway

  • @astroboirap Liberalism is a disease. Look at Detroit. The last 40 years, there have been ONLY Liberal mayors. Detroit is a microcosm of what America would be if The One(Obama) gets elected again.

  • @Jagnole101 long live obaaaaaama. you know, no-one outside of america really cares im afraid

  • @astroboirap I guess they can see that all the partisan bickering is just to distract us into thinking we are making an important choice when in the end we are going to end up with the same system and no change, at least none that benifits anyone who isn't a billionaire.

  • @xHossome Because in the movie, all his life he was told how smart he was, and in the same breath that he was wrong. That cognitive dissonance turns you into a prick sometimes.

  • I think in True Romance when Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken have a scene together....THAT'S the best scene in history....

  • I don't get it.

  • yeah.....im gunna go with the end of HEAT.

  • Nah... this isn't the best scene, the best scene is when Will drops the note off at Sean's and the note says: Tell them sorry. I had to go see about a girl. To which Sean replies to himself: Son of a bitch; he stole my line!

  • no titties FAIL

  • I was gonna watch this on netflix in the other room, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @DavyDave1313 Just shut the fuck up

  • @ExplodingBumfluff I was gonna shut the fuck up, but then I took your mom's mouth to my penis.

  • i dont get it

  • Awesome scene. Very moving..

  • weak. its not even the best scene in that movie.

  • Best scene ever. Yup. I just don't understand why Matt Damon keeps getting bumped from Jimmy Kimmel Live? I tune in almost every night to see him, and there's never enuf time...

  • @Rumpull4skin

    it's their running gag

  • Really, is there ONE best scene, or ONE best movie, or even ONE best song? How can you even suggest that there is? As for me, the BEST flavor in the world is chocolate. Anybody who disagrees with me is dead wrong. Now, are we happy?

  • @allegrobas

Nope; because actually, the best line from a movie is (ahem); "We have to get him to a hospital." "A hospital! What is it?" "It's a big building, with patients, but that's not important right now..." Airplane, 1980. Now I think we're happy LOL

  • "MATT DAMON!" ? Seriously? Best scene? LOL

    How's this? MATT DAAAMOOOOOON.

  • Not on my top 10, not event the best scene in the movie

  • wonder how many people in the world are like him

  • Im Fucking Matt Daemon ... Lol

  • yo WTF?!! i have this movie in my computer :O

  • MAAAAAATTT DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMON....

  • I know what this is like

  • "Best scene ever"?

I didn't see one naked girl in the whole thing.

  • This film was awesome.

  • "Get some coffee" = Get the F%*# out. I am no Will Hunting, but I see that very clearly. ~Kev~

  • It looks like you're not that good any more...Will Hunting

  • 0:25-reference to the maclaurean power series. good mathematical operation.

  • Are you serious, any one in a 1st year mathematics course could do that.

  • @Boz211200 no...they cant

  • @Boz211200 maybe so, but its a nice little reference like the scene with the Homeomorphically Irreducible Trees.

  • MATT DAMON

  • @thehotshirtguy2008 NO SHIT

  • @DeadPoolFilms It's a team America quote in case you are retarded.

  • @DeadPoolFilms Nope.

  • this isnt even the best scene from this movie...the NSA scene is way better.

  • Hey tom, Don't forget the coffee!

  • One of the best movies ever, in my opinion. Touching story. LOVE IT!!!

  • Awesome movie but labeling this as the "best scene in any movie ever in this history of the world" is incredibly exaggerated. Not even in the top 30 IMO!

  • The last scene in 'King of New York' is one of my favs because there's a tall blonde 17 year old in Times Sq.in a mini that just happens to be me. But it is a cool film anyways

  • well, this movie is one of the best in my life, but this scene was ok... may be I didn't get it well ? can anyone explain what was the last 2 sentences...

  • @MrHarrytubing most days i wish i had never met u, i cud sleep at night, not know that there was sum1 like u out there, didn't have to watch you throw it all away.... he is taking his inherent genius. He appreciates Will's ability more than Will himself does thus it pains him to see that Will doesn't give a dang! :) Its like burning Mona Lisa or defacing Venus de Milo etc...

  • @skunktheshrink The Venus de Milo doesn't have a face. Sorry to be a pedantic bore.

  • @dianalee84 bore, yes; pedantic, no. to be pedantic would imply that your attention to detail was accurate. The Venus de Milo does indeed have a face - it lacks arms (though research has indicated that it once did).

  • @1yawn2many Jeepers,I stand corrected! Teach me to try to be a smartass! OK,..'The Venus of Willendorf'..She doesn't have a face.

  • @skunktheshrink Thanx :) It's more obvious now it was not an envy... I thought it was some kinda... but now I get it, thanx again for explaining.

  • this isn't porn so the title can't be true

  • Whenever I 'need' to get homework finished, I listen to this as the background noise. This movie gets me inspired for some reason? This and Tron!

  • Um, that was pretty damn weak. This isn't even CLOSE to the title you gave this video.

  • I would say in the title that the word 'this' goes before the word 'world' and not before the word 'history'

  • The Ace Ventura rewind scene takes the cake in my book.

  • This movie is the most embarrassing form of mathism ever.

  • GOOD WILL HUNTING!

  • Melodramatic silliness. As if that goofy flick needed more scenes to remind the viewer how "special" Will was. Skarsgard must cringe when he watches it. "Oh yeah, this is the scene where, on my knees, I have to lament Will's superior existence keeping me up at night."

  • @menzelcassini I don't think it's a superiority thing. It's about wasted talent. I think, if I were in academia, I would get similar satisfaction from either being the best or working with the best.

  • not even the best scene in the movie. i would rank "when did you know" and "you owe it to me" ahead of this one

  • this is not even best scene in movie. not even a better scene than the scene before or after this scene

  • Did that dude ever come back with the coffee? Where the hell did he go get it (LoL)?

  • @Maloperverso Morocco

  • @Maloperverso it's a 3 minute scene...A small lineup or having to go a little ways and it'd take longer than 3 minutes

  • @Maloperverso Apparently, there was no coffee. That guy was just downloading some porn.

  • god i wanted to beat up tom.

  • This isn't Goodfellas...

  • @FlamingYoda339 very far out comment...funny how?

  • @FlamingYoda339 i was thinking the same thing...

  • is he a genious writer or something???

  • @nappa666 He's a genius in many fields. He specialises in advanced mathematics though :).

  • @nappa666 It's "genius", not "genious", you moron lol

  • @iDraw3G its spelt that way on the ol dirty bastards album ignorant wit wont

  • @nappa666 God you're dumb

  • @iDraw3G so hows that working t for you?

  • Not the best scene ever but a nice one indeed

  • looks boring. Never seen it.

  • @grabba73 this is good will hunting and it a really good movie. it sounds boring at first but its really good

  • @grabba73 it is boring, dont see it.

  • I don't know about the best scene ever, but it's pretty darn good!

  • i had a date so i sent my minion

  • haha i sent my chief negotiator

  • what movie is this?

  • @kewlkrew14 good will hunting

  • The best scene in the movie is "here's your fucking burger!!"

  • The best scene was Matt Damon car blew up at the end of the movie and he died

  • i think the best scene in this movie was "its not your fault"

  • A fields medallist couldn't understand a proof that uses Maclaurin expansion! Only in Hollywood! I happen to like this film, though. :]

  • @Garbogebi Typically in movies or TV shows which have higher math or science, the math/science is correct, but not necessarily appropriate to the scene.

  • simp

  • I wouldn't say this scene is the best in cinema history, but it's great.

  • "Tom, fuck off!"

  • Tom can you get us some coffee?

  • Another mediocre scene from one of the most contrived bs movies of all time

  • @MrGunwitch So give us your take on a great scene or movie then, cause I see your profile is completely empty. Telling someone what is crap is easy, telling someone what you do like is a lot harder, isn't it?

  • @MrGunwitch Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you an attention starved hipster.

    Kindly fuck off.

  • Interesting but not at all believable. The Will Huntings of the real world are the ones who win the prize that the professor did (Fields Medal).

If someone were to honestly think that something a Fields Medal winner couldn't understand was "so easy" he'd probably be smarter than anyone in human history ever has been.

  • @pa112358TRICK Not necessarily. I know in entertainment and sports, many who have talent don't become successful because of personal problems -- drugs, crime, bad upbringing, etc. I can't help but think that the same is true with intellectual ability. Those who succeed academically usually have good schools, good family backgrounds, positive life experiences, good role models, political and social connections, etc. Sadly, natural ability often isn't enough.

  • @hxly2

I don't disagree with anything you said... but my point still holds. And It doesn't just take talent to win a Fields medal. You have to have an intelligence of 1 in 10 million, and then you have to work crazy hard. If Will Hunting can come along and be orders of magnitude smarter/better than the 1 in 10 million, worked all his life guy on this very subject.... well pardon me if I don't think it's remotely possible.

  • @hxly2 You are so right about this. Bad life experiences can destroy anyone's life. I know this firsthand. The consolation being, life does not amount to the collection of your achievments, but how you have loved and lived it. But still, that doesn't erase the fact that emotional harms and crimes done against someone can destroy any chances of accomplishment in their lives.

  • @hxly2 correct my friendd

  • @pa112358TRICK One of the themes of the movie is the conflict between pushing someone to succeed (the professor) versus letting him do what he wants (the psychologist).

  • @pa112358TRICK At one point the professor concedes that the psychologist had more natural ability, but he was pushed to succeed and so became a Fields Medal winner and MIT professor, whereas the psychologist was not pushed by anyone; he did what he wanted in life and ended up teaching at a community college.

  • fail.

  • Is it really possible for someone with no math education to complete a proof a well known PhD cannot??? I know it's a movie, but damn.

  • @tharock220 he's a genius?

  • @tharock220 he did have an education. Just not a formal one in a college.

In the movie he talks about how you can get a 4 year Harvard education for 2.50 in late fees from your local library.

He sits around and reads all the books (and probably more), then the students and professors.

Remember Mark Twain famously said, "Never let school get in the way of your education."

Effectively Will Hunting had the education of a PhD.

  • @tharock220 Billy Hunter learned his maths at the school of hard knocks, or were you not paying attention.

  • @tharock220: if that person did enough reading and studying on his own time isn't he still educated even though it's not on paper, that's what the whole movies based off of

  • Honestly, although I like the emotions in this part, a real mathematician does not act like that when given questions. He would answer them.

  • @Evan2718281828 shut the fuck up..what do u know bro?

  • @Evan2718281828 He wasn't given any questions?

  • @pithikoulis

when the professor says "Well did you consider..." and then he interrupts him.

  • Lol before I clicked this video I just assumed there would be people acting like they're intelligent, and what do you know..

  • i can do that proof

  • Someone will have to tell the actor Matt Damon that he isn't Will Hunting....and no, Damon isn't the smartest guy in the room, any room.

  • @loyalrammy Ever met him? No. Then shut-the-fuck-up.

  • you would make a good politician in my humble opinion waltermh.i like the presumption in your statement "humanities interest"you sound like another eloquent talking head on msnbc or cnbc.you assume too much-like you have any real idea whats going on-believe me its a lot more complicated than you make it out to be.unfortunately im not that smart,so i guess we have to defer to those of your ilk.yeah im pretty dumb and dont have a lot going on upstairs but that much i do get...

  • @Nemesis0300

That's the thing though, Will is not you. Just because someone has a gift, doesn't mean they are entitled or obligated to do something with it. That's like saying every person who has built themselves from scratch to become successful is obligated to share their wealth with the less fortunate.

Might seem cold but it is true and evident in real life.

  • @tittyslapper7 totally agree hes not obligated...im done with commenting-waltermh just wants an argument-not up for it

  • yeah, but who decides whats good for humanity?thats pretty presumptious!will is smart and humble-he knows that in spite of his intelligence he doesnt have all theanswers.some of the opinions here reek of people who have had to make this choice and didnt choose the way will did and are now trying to justify that choice through this post.im not buying it in the least!who are you to decide as to whats good for humanity?that is the height of arrogance masquerading as some sort of altruistic concern!

  • @jeromehazelwood humanity decides whats good for humanity, and no one person has to have all the answers, they just need to be part of the solution.

Then you create a strawman. So easy to assume things to justify your beliefs.

Ignore the problem by saying doing nothing is better.

The point is to have humanities interest in mind and not just your own.

Countries are best off when people think bout each other thoughtfully and not just themselves.

Talk about arrogance, judging others like you did

  • @waltermh111 first off im not judging anyone, thats youre assumption.second of all who or what constitutes humanity and who decides?the disenfranchised homeless?the mentally ill?convicted felons do they count?who decides the structure or foundation of a potential solution?do we have a vote on this?when you do nothing -you have done something.youve chosen to stay out of it.as in the song "freewill"by rush-'if you choose not to decide you still have made a choice."your comments are vague.

  • @jeromehazelwood your failing at playing semantics, i answered your questions in the first post.

But yes, convicted felons deserve a vote. The mentally ill, if they truly are, likely wont vote but even if they did they did, if they can think enough to vote, they deserve a vote. But then your just making the same statement anti-gay groups do, that if we legalise gay marraige we must legalise marraige to animals also.

    Such ignorant people.

    But who decides foundation? humanity

  • @jeromehazelwood do you have a vote? yes, you are human after all i assume, therefore part of humanity.

I dont take mu queues from music, I think for myself after reading many views. If you want to stay out of the discussion, tht is your choice, but then dont cry about the result. You chose not to be part of the process.

Go live in the forest or desert, or an island all by yourself so that you dont have to participate in society.

My comments arent vague, your just being proudly ignorant.

  • @waltermh111 thanks ,at least "tittyslapper" gets it.what makes you think that because i have this opinion that i dont want to be part of humanity-you are presumptious at best.and thanks for the insult again-"proudly ignorant"?why are you so hostile because someone doesnt agree with you?why dont you run for public office?it seems that you have at least some of the solutions i lack.

  • Comment removed

  • @jeromehazelwood You opened your comment with an insultingly judgmental and hostile to others and you wonder why somebody countered you?

    Wow

Yeah, the other commenter gets it, in that he agrees with you, congrats.

I can only take from your own words, not simply presumptions. You want to make no choice, then dont complain, thats all I am saying.

We are a society whether you like it or not. Be a part of it.

As for running for public office, we all have a part to play, we cant all run.

  • @waltermh111 noones complaining except you!lol-let will be ,and im out-i see you like to argue -a little too much for me.

  • @jeromehazelwood solutions are a dime a dozen, but I believe in trying things and scrapping what doesnt work.

I even go so far to say I wouldnt be unhappy with Ron Paul as president even though I disagree with him on so much, because what the heck, might as well get some empirical evidence for or against his beliefs since up to now it doesnt have any.

Would be an interesting experiment. Things are bad enough we could use good shakeup.
