@237ren They are called beignets (pronounced ben-yays) Its a rectangular pastry made of deep fried dough (like a doughnut) and covered in powdered sugar. They are a specialty in New Orleans. There's a cafe called Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans that is particularly famous for them.

I agree the best thing about Charlotte is that she's selfish, she's spoiled, she has a mind of a child, she's totally out of control and a brat at times, but she still has a good heart, and doesn't belittle Tiana for finding her dream and all that. She's like the inverse Cinderella stepsister.

Charlotte is like live wire. All other characters are fixed (good, bad, dumb, clever etc) Charlotte's character on the other hand is a wild card. Without her the movie would be predictable and dull. Undoubtedly the most important character in the plot (next to the fine music of course)

Both of them are pretty similar: spastic but lovable personalities, gave up their 'prince' unselfishly to someone else, and adoring father figures (for Anastasia, I count the King as a 'father figure' since he was nice to Anastasia and as she said "He treated me like I was his daughter" in the movie). I would love it if someone wrote a fanfic or drew a picture about these two as friends finding their true loves!

@phangirl12 I actually went to new Orleans with my dad, and I would have had a beignet at cafe dumonde, but they were too crowded, and I think they don't take credit cards, so dad and I walked a couple of blocks to this tiny similar restaurant called cafe beignet. It's about the size of my kitchen, and really adorable. I can't say that they're even better that cafe dumondes, cuz I've never tasted theirs, but I'd say that they would AT LEAST rank second to best in the universe.
