this movie destroys me. it just doesn't end up like this. ever. your true love finds someone else, takes your kid, and fucking runs before you ever get to see him and then holds him captive and demands child support. fuck reality, fuck movies, fuck happy endings. should be josh hartnett's matthew on a 6 day whiskey bender at the end. otherwise a reality based movie, as rose byrne's insane alex succeeds in keeping true love apart for years using a web of lies and multiple identities.

Considering he lied to her, cheated on her, and totally fucked her brother's company over, she should have been the one breaking up with him... but hers was also real love and she just walked away to let him be happy, even as she was crushed in an airport and probably turned around to see him locked in an epic kiss with this foreign knockout she'd never even heard about. Soul crushing madness, love/relationships.
