@TakronRust It's not yellow-brown if you purify it and I think if you would be thinking in the line of crystaline explosives you might even be able to make that kind of explosion with sutch a small ammount.
Now as he mentionted he made a little 'tweak' to it I can only assume what he meant, but let's assume he mixed the fulminated mercury with some solution to form a matrix for bigger crystals. Then he might be able to bring up a decent explosion
@trulynot Well it certainly appears as though he's throwing it down toward his feet in the first scene, the scene they cut to makes it look like he's throwing it more directly away from himself in the middle of the air. Everyone discussed this a couple years back and it was universally agreed that he was quick enough to turn right around and cover himself from the blast. No doubt he was probably shaken by it like everyone else.
@fleckx Hey, thanks for that. I just found the extended scene and saw that no one is hurt ( I wrongly assumed the dealers were killed/injured ) just shaken. The blast was enough to blow out the windows only. Now I get it :o)
@trulynot that's not nitro, it was Fulminated Mercury. Supposedly, but fulminated mercury is yellow-brown. Thing I would have been worried about, fulminated mercury puts out vaporous mercury when it goes off. Even if I was dieing I wouldn't wanna breathe in that much mercury.
@TakronRust Yeah, I wrongly assumed it was nitro before I realised otherwise from the extended clip. That's why I thought there would be injuries. I agree with you about the mercury, I wouldn't be want to be inhaling mercury gas either, causes brain damage.
Why would you leave out the scene Tuco fills the bag and when he walks out? THAT, when he's walking out, is perhaps the most badass moment in TV show history.
i guess we'll just have to disagree on that. i didn't find it relevant to the quick version of the story. clearly he got the money. so imo, the very last scene is the most badass moment.
I personally have never seen something as badass as when he is walking out and everyone around him chattering and noticing he was the one who caused all that chaos. His face is priceless and at that moment, when he is walking towards the car, you truly see the transformation of the character, not when he is in the car releasing the tension.
Ofcourse you can disagree all you want but that wont make a difference on all this fact I just pointed out.
@aocidicoa Agreed. The intro where he is telling Jesse that there "will be no more violence" that is interspersed with the scene where he exits with the bloody money bag amid the chaos was incredibly badass and masterfully done. But the whole episode is. Walt is the motherfucking man.
OK well, that's part of the opening scene, which I've also got up. I've modified the video info to include URLs to the other video, this one now links to the Opening Scene and that one links back to this Expansion/Explanation of the Opening Scene. Problem solved.
Excellent cropping of the the show into 4 minutes! The only thing is how can anyone take the size of the explosion that happened? Also how big of a bang would you really get from 10 grams of that stuff?
probably a remix but i am having a really hard time finding the exact version of the remixed song in the episode s1e6 episode of breaking bad really like the song in the background
Geez, "a-noob-ass10061", just WTF is your malfunction? Assuming you are not either eight years old, or, entitled to a yearly pass to ride the short bus; then just dropping in on a thread in order make some obnoxious and petty (and far worse, unfunny) comment, is some pretty childish bullshit.
i don't get it. what happened? why outof everyone in that room is he alone somehow immune to the effects of the explosion that incapacitated everyone else?
He was expecting it, Tuco and his henchmen were not. It's like getting punched when you expect it and getting punched when you have no idea it's coming. Oh and also, this show rocks.
3:20 ....that look of rage is what got him the Emmy......that is awesome TV right there.

i cant find the background's sons, do anyone know where to get that?
gardos 6 months ago
Yeah, there is alot of debate and discussion about how he survived the blast,
hey..here is an observation I just wanna throw out there on the table......
ITS FUCKING MAKE BELIEVE ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!! NOT REAL.. YA SEE!!
But.. still, the" turning quick "theory holds a lot of ground.

I dont get it, how did he survive the blast ? It looked like he threw the nitro right near his own feet.

The very last scene, is him tripping over the rush... I think Tuco realizing he wasn't dealing with a punk was far more badass..
