  • My nursing rat does this when she's about to settle down and let her babies nurse! It's odd, because she used to only brux and boggle when she was out and about (she's hyper)!

  • My rat is doing that now, but she isn't going into labor, she should be soon, she's quite large with children, and I'm very excited. She is due any day now, so it's just a wait it out kind of thing. Is there any way to tell about when she is going to start giving birth?

  • That may be before labor for your rat but my rats do that all the time. That's when they are clenching/unclecnching their jaws. They are just so close it affects them that much. It looks so funny, like their eyes are going to pop out of their head!

  • my rat does it all the time, he's done it for about a year now and it still freaks me out!

  • kawaii my rats used to do that when you cuddeled them and massaged them behind the ears. they would even chatter their teeth and make their whiskers go everywhere lmao

  • omg! that is cute! i have 3 rats and havent seen boggling yet.

isnt it a bit scary? i mean it looks like something out of a animation cartoon lol!

  • But totally normal.
