He was also a friend to Bob Dylan, a democrat who regularly criticizes the GOP. I could have said the nation's monied elites are bankrolling Planned Parenthood and the IDEOLOGIES of both the Democratic and Republican parties, especially in respect to the abortion issue. Patronage of that sort goes far beyond the usual pork and expected political favors, yet the abortion issue is even more dangerous than it is a powerful distraction.
