Hell, if anything in LOTF is religious, it's about how the nature of fanatic belief, "I'm right/mighty because I'm right/mighty"-ism, and Faith is detrimental and corruptive delusion to a civilized world--- a delusion that is more likeley to kill that civilization than to maintain it, but will ultimatley be swept aside when greater Knowledge arrives.

.... again, not knocking *you*, but if your teach honestly belives LOTF is the Old Testament, s/he must think LOST is the Second Coming.
