Gas ducted fans in the early years were way under powered , but when they got them sorted out the made some fast speed runs running that combo . feel for the loss of this bird, she sure was a looker
It almost stalled on take off! Too high a climb angle, or not enough thrust. Looks like nobody will be buying it. I so admired the B-58 when I was a kid.
@TWA717 movie was made in 1995; because this date and the starting system, I believe power was from "normal" fuel (methanol & oil), normal engines and fans.
I think this video is made even sadder by its lack of sound.. a heart breaking end to a wonderful machine..

That is sad to have lost such a nice plane. The real B-58 was a real handful to fly and because of that it was ore of early fly by wire planes.
