You truly are an inspiration:) I was clean from heroin for 8 years ( after a five year 5g a day habit). Relapsed four years ago and was taking 120ml of methadone, and 3g of gear, but have got it down to 30ml and .2 g . Looking to do a rapid detox, and have heard the clinics in Europe are reasonable. Sick of waking up puking. This is no way to live. Big hugs well done (((())))) could I have UR Fb page pls? Xx
@feefee3103 Thank you very much for you such kind words.
It's replies & posts like this that make it all so worth it.
I must be doing some good.I had the 1st withdrawal videos on Youtube, then many, many followed. You get great, rewarding comments & the idiots who think that withdrawals are nothing but one big competition. And anyone else who are,has or are WDing have nothing on them!Their Wd;s were always the very worst.
@amaykay420 dont beat your self up jus pick up were u left off ive jus relapsed 7 months ago slamin herion ive been clean for almost a week beside getting on methadone for my second time but i feel great. what was ur drug of choice if u dnt mind me asking?
@amaykay420 I'm a recovering addict of 10+ years and have been clean for more than 2 years. If you want any advise, shoot me a message and I'd be more than happy to help.
Well done you, Black Betty...I am still ''stuck'' on Methadone, for decades, and had morphine for back pain [spine op] but you are right, when my levels drop, i laugh so much....but that is just the methadone levels dropping in 24 hrs...I imagine if I was truly opiate/opioid free, I would be very ''alive'' well done you...maybe I will do it..I would love a horse ...but in UK these are expensive to keep, unless you have own land [I don't!]
Im on suboxone. I choose to be on suboxone because i know my nature. Ive tried to get clean a few times. I once had to work a week through methadone withdrawls. Idk how i did it but i did. Ive also quit suboxone for a few weeks at a time. When i do clean up im constantly thinking about how high i could get from having no tolerance. Sometimes i purge from suboxone specifically so i can get high on morphine.
well im really happy for you.I really do hope that one day i can quit opiates but i use for more reasons than to feel good.I dont get high on bupe.I may try to clean up again this winter while theres no work.BUT,im afraid of having anxiety attacks like i used to get before i started using.I have performance/social anxiety to the point that i would pass out in public places. So im afaid to go back to that, i would probably lose my job and get kicked out of my current home.Thx 4 not judgeing me
to anyone that can offer some advice... when going through your own personal withdrawals.. how intense or how do you cope with any kind depression and mood swings? I feel like a complete basket case when trying to come off.
@treilly0125 I find that your better to stay at home & just allow what is happening to happen.Trying to fight it is worthless. It just makes it so much harder to deal with.
atleast ur off, or atleast ur feeling good, being clean and feeling good is the goal, being clean and being miserable is pointless. suboxone is good enough
I start my detox today after a visit to the Doctor this morning, so wish me luck please. I don't know what she will say, or even if she can help in any way. I have seen many videos on youtube about this, and none of them make it any easier. Seeing your footage has made me look and think, yes it can be done, but the hardest thing I will have to contend with is, doing this and going to work. I have taken a week off, but I am scared that it will not be enough to get this out of my system. See yah.
@balckbettystack Well its day 9 and I am over the worst of the withdrawal symptems. I do have a few lingering things that are starting to get on my nervse a little like abdominal pains, mild cold sweats, and just feeling like I'm getting over a hangover. It doesn't help that I have gone back to work, but I will be back on leave for two weeks, next week. The main thing is, after 6 years on opiates, I'm done with them and will never, ever be using them again. Keep you eye open for my video entries

The hard thing with opiates is that many people end up "liking" the feeling of them, who can blame them! But, if taken responsibly, it is possible to continue on an opiate pain regiment. You just have to take breaks. I used for 3 yrs for an injury, but would never use more than 2 days in a row (let half life die down). Its hard to do that when you hurt EVERYDAY, but 3 yrs later when I quit, I had no w/d's like you didn't after your 3 weeks. But its different for everyone.. cheers!
@HAMMERxHCA That's a good suggestion for long term pain relief and would prevent WD's being such harsh or at all.
I am so sick of my pain that I have now gone back to a liquid diet, still get pain though,to help ease some of my pain,so I'm not battling this evil everyday.
Pain wears you down.It is so tiring.
I'm glad your also off pain meds now too.Well done & congratulations.
@balckbettystack@balckbettystack Wow that must be pretty hard to have to stick to the liquid diest, especially over pain! Its true, being in severe pain everyday really does tire you down. And the drugs are just hell. Like a trap. You start off on a dose that works wonders, but a few weeks later, you have to increase to a higher dose because of tolerance. Then THAT dose starts becoming weal, so increase again... then repeat..
@HAMMERxHCA After 10 years I am fed up with liqid/pureed foods.I used to for convienance & will still do every now & then, have some baby food.It goes down easy enough & hurts a bit less. But fluids are the thing that cause me less pain.
The last 3 months have been extremely tough medically,in & out of hospital.& I am just so tired that I sleep my day's away & nights.I wonder how much longer I can go on like this?
@petetang1985 There really is a really big difference.
I wanted to make these videos to help me through withdrawals. Then 60 Minutes got them. Then I found people contacting me to help them, which I'm more than happy to do.
Now hold my Cert 4 in alcohol and other drugs with distinctions I can help even more.
Well Betty, it sounds good, keep on that wagon. I personally am dealing with my Opiate addiction (5 years on Methadone), and am bouncing in and out of Cocaine, but no opiate use other than Methadone. Pleasure chatting....
Hi,you definitely look healthier and much better than in the withdrawing ideos, must have hurt so much back then! When is the point when your pain in chest will reduce to zero?In a few months/years' time maybe?Hope you are doing well, bcos you look fantastic!!!Take very good care dear Betty!:)
thanks a lot for the quick and nice answer!May I ask HOW that Neurostimulator eases your pain?Is it some kind of machine?Or medication?Do you have to use it/take it 24/7?Sometimes you still have pain?:-((((
Sorry I am not a native english speaker so I have no idea abt the Neurostimulator at all. You seem to be an extremely nice girl and I hope those pains will go away completely!:-)
@wannaknowit I am not sure if I amswered your questions, posted 6 months agoI am so sorry if I didn't.So I will now.
The Neurostim sits aling my spinal cord & send out mild electrical impulses across the nerves. It blocks your pain BEFORE it reachs your brain & replaces it with a pleasant tingling sensation. It's all electrical. No drugs at all.If my pain is massive, the Stim covers about 85%,the rest of the pain I have to deal with.Which is very hard.
Congratulations Betty,
I saw your videos back a few years ago,
You stuck with it and are looking so healthy and alive!
Good Luck and your strength is awesome :) xx

It's a waste of money to throw the meds out when places like Fiji, can't even afford to purchase medications we take for granted.
