  • CAN'T TELL IF TROLLING OR SERIOUS.

  • @Englishguyproduction is serious, my father went to Islas Canarias. They gave my father something and he hid it, then, a woman came and the guide told her with whistles were the object was, She found it.

  • im in love with this culture !!! i have origins from this place !! xD

one day if i do get to visit the canary islands i will make sure to learn some silbo :P

  • That's crazy hahaha

  • Click, click, whistle, hurrr, durrrr

  • computer is a disease, no sorry it's just more efficient that whistling.

the whistling is obsolete with new technology, it's that simple. just saiyin

  • @ZuKahta Never confuse "efficiency" with cultural heritage.

  • @AngleBisector90 sure, and you can keep using you steam engines, i'll be on a magnet train.

  • @ZuKahta Language =/= technology.

  • @AngleBisector90 oh ok.

    tweeeeet tweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee tweetwee tweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    there i typed the language.

Language is a technology it can be improved and upgraded and applied to be compatible with many things.

  • this language isnt on the site anymore :(

  • thats a valuable war language. theyll probally think its birds. and when they realise there wrong its too late

  • @xTheDeathSaintx

that would be some really weird birds, if you ask me.

  • @TheAmazingTwist when your on foreign territory do you reallt read up on " bird calls"? lol its a very subtle thing, great for guerilla warfare

  • @xTheDeathSaintx they're too drawn out to sound anything like bird calls

  • @TheAmazingTwist this is cause there using it more conversationally. think if they talk short. like code words. and even then ive herd birds do long chirps before. this is something you wouldnt notice unless you were looking for it

  • @xTheDeathSaintx guerilla warfare? I wonder whistling with such pitch can reach the ears of the enemy or not.

  • @jieyangko well if your allies can hear it, assume the enemy can too

  • Silbo Gomero is declared as cultural heritage by the UNESCO last year.

In the Island of La Gomera in the Canary Island some people still use the whistled language, and is amazing that now is protected as this language were use by the natives for 1000's years.

  • that's amazing. wonder if they can communicate with R2-D2...

  • I bet you they know for a FACT what R2D2 was saying the whole Star Wars movie!

  • 0:35 Chick's got some sweet tatas. I'd like to throw some Silbo her way.

  • Oh my god: 0:55 LOL

  • "Hey Luis"

    "Yes, Isidro"

    "That's what she said"

  • Wow! well, what can I say?

  • The lady saying that computers & cell phones are evil and ruining the world is hilarious! Especially if you're a native spanish speaker.

    I can't whisle at all.

  • @lauraleesmithagain

Hella true about the lady. I was laughing at the dude who was like "sometimes you don't get cell phone coverage in the mountains"

  • That was so freakin`cool.

  • Brilliant, I knew about the language but hadn't heard it before, the video made me laugh!

  • @chahra111 It IS a language. Whistlers process the information in their brain with the same areas as when they speak and listen to words, and they perceive these sounds not as mere whistle but as a language on its own.

  • Yodeling is the same thing. Supposedly parts of Cuba have something like this, but I've never heard it.

  • Absolutely magnificent. it's a shame that the rest of us, North Africans, don't have such a thing.

  • who know why website not working?:((((

  • creepy i speak this language & had no clue what it was wow i feel dumb

  • Wow... that's absolutely incredible! I had no idea of such language, you did great job bringing it to people via internet. I'm glad to hear that it won't be erased form history as many other languages.

Interesting thing - if people can understand and speak language of whistling - they could do the same with bird language, very often it's very complex. We can imitate bird voices but you say we can speak their language - wonder why? ( besides anatomy incompatibility )

  • I'm a parakeet...quick somebody get me some sunflower seeds!

  • how very cool!!

  • The Canary islands are southwest of Spain retard.

  • Mandatory in schools there? I can't even whistle normally and I've been trying for 20 years.

  • Its a true Language, I have witnessed Jon Arregui (Canaria IMBA07) use his whistle skills to herd women at Pacha!

  • cool

  • Now if I could only whistle. That's cool.

  • I know, right? I can't even whistle.

  • Is this a joke or is this real?

  • Yeah that whistling is a real language from the Canary Islands. I didn't realize it was so expressive, though...

  • Wow. That is completely amazing!!! Who would've thought this really exists?
