  • THANKS a lot, u saved me .

  • umm i have sorta the same problem the hex bolt holding my bars on my bmx bike are striped would u recomend the same thing in this video? if not what would u recomend

  • I will give you my own personal tip for such situations. Do a search here on youtube for the words Screw Grab Instructional and check out the top link :)

  • fyi 95 is S50b30 not S52b32, obd2 did not start until 96.

  • how do you feel about leaving the rotor bolt out all together and using the wheel and studs to hold the rotor on? I live in the north and we love our salty roads, and due to this I have never...repeat never gotten one of those out without serious trouble and lost time.

  • @prodriver1 Honestly you could, but again that would be a decision for you, it would not have any bearing on the integrity of the braking components and wheel mounting since it is not a load bearing bolt. Once the wheel studs/bolts are torqued into place the rotor will not be going anywhere.

  • @528im52 but if that car was to ever be in an accident resulting in brake failure (not having to do with that bolt) it could fall back on you.

  • @falconsfan720 I'm curious to know where you've heard this, the purpose of this screw is to maintain alignment of the disc and hub so that it doesn't move when putting on the wheels, it has no bearing what so ever on the braking ability of the car, in fact many cars are manufactured without this screw.

  • great tip, I can apply that technique in many places. thanks

  • good info but wish you would have zoomed in on the bolt.

  • I had the e46 325i and the rear rotor stuck so hard to the bearing, even wacking so hard with the sledge hammer it didn't come loose. I had to get the torch from home depot and heat the rotor up then it come loose with just some light tap on the rotor edge.

  • Cool.

  • Does this apply to a 2003 E39 M5?

  • @andreyisgood Yes, the E39 M5 uses the same bolt design, and this would be the method used.

  • Great video. How much pressure did you use with the torque wrench again?

  • Thanks for this video! It helped me alot with a really badly stripped bolt.

  • LOL you wanna give me that engine ! ? I could really use it in my e30 ! :D

  • Great vid!!!

  • any zoom?

  • hey i like that trick you did with the punch. are you placing it around the out side of the locator bolt? could this work with other bolts that are simular.

  • you work on some higher end cars.

  • that locater bolt is really useless unless you cant get the rotor off the hub assembly.

  • Good video but mien screw has for the Philip screw driver and I broke the tip of the screw driver. In the screw itself so is kind of flat now because of the broken part of the screw driver how do I get it out

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS HAPPENED TO ME

  • is that a m52 at the end of the vid?? cuz i got a m52b28

  • Its an S52US out of a '95 M3, we use it for training purposes and to make how-to and installation videos.

  • is this the shop in Tyler?

  • Yes we are in Tyler, our address is 3208 Park Center Dr. Tyler, TX 75701
