for people who dont know how to capture a soul gem

make sure u have a soul gem thats empty cast a soul trp spell or if u have done the mages guild things u can make a spell that soul traps or enchant a weapon so it has soul trap.

i think the easiest way is to make spell that soul traps but does like fire or frost damg and if ur just hunting so u can get lots of full soul gems just put the game on easy so faster to kill em

Process to make unlimited black soul gems:

*NOTE- YOU NEED 4 FILLED GRAND SOUL GEMS TO MAKE THIS WORK

1. Follow the directions given is this video

2. Put 4 filled grand soul gems in the altar

3. Cast a soul trap and remove the 1st gem, 4 grand soul gems should remain

4. Continue until you've take 3 black soul gems 4 grand soul gems should remain

5. Before making the 4th black soul gem take the 4 grand soul gems out

6. REPEAT

here i know the exact time it shows up, it shows up every 8 days, but because it happens when u first start it happens on the first day and then in 8 day intervals. so its shows on day 1,9,17,25,33,41,49,57,65 and every +8 day from those (hope that helps any of u)

even if you did duplicate it those soul gems dont work like normal black sould gems. they are incapable of trapping NPC souls. and the light appears every 8 days

keep getting over encumbered? all you do is when you get to the sigil stone in oblivion gate save before you take it, and keep taking it untill you get the 1 that has 'feather' and 'burdon' then dupe it about 20 or so times and use it on all your pecies of armour and all jewelry, this will make you able to hold way more items, it nearly quadrupled my capacity, good luck ;)

go to the dark fissure when the light is there on midnight, look inside the altar then exit a necromancer should try to kill you, after you kill him look in the altar and there should be 1 if not check his body

You could use it for the shrine of Vaermina. She'll send you on a quest for the Skull of Corruption. I think she gives you the Staff of Corruption which makes a clone of the person you cast it on and the clone will attack and kill the person you cast it on.

black soul gems can capture a soul of a human like any old person walking around you can kill them and take their soul, and use it to power-restore your enchanted weapons, just like a regular soul gem except its a little more convienent.
