They used to perform at the Los Angeles Convention Ctr every year for the Harvest Festival. They were so funny. I'd go just to see these guys. Wish they'd get together for a reunion tour
These guys were huge in Australia. I remember they consistently sold out the Last Laugh in Melbourne and did some big shows early on for the comedy festival c1989/1992. I'm surprised that they didn't sell or pass on their act. Can someone with the know how get a wikipedia entry? Not only hilarious but also amazing musicians.
It's been 30 years since I first met the The Brass Band at Chicagofest in Chicago, IL and it was so nice to see them again in this video. My favorite was of course Cpl Louis Tooloose because he would give me such great hugs everytime I went and saw them on the Comedy Stage. It's great to see them again! Kathi
Great memories! Met these guys in the 70's at the Rennaissance Pleasure Faire and The Harvest Festival, in San Francisco. Guaranteed to get a laugh from the worst curmudgeon. I really miss you guys!
Likewise - great to see something (anything!) by this great group. I saw them often around the SF Bay Area and played their records on my radio show. I can only find out any current info on 2 members of the band*.
Personnel for Just A Tiny Boo-Boo recording:
CPL. Louis Tooloose (Bob Leach*) Trumpets
Jimby (Jim Aaron) Trumpets
The Captain (Bob Jennings) Tbone and Tuba
Buford (Phineas T. Buford III ) BarHorn, a Alto Horn, Tbone, Tuba
OMG! I almost cried. Just like Tammy, I too met TBB 30 years ago at ChicagoFest. It's awesome to see this. I'm glad that I had to call TBB and Tammy my friends!
This video brought back some great memories of a terrific group! I met The Brass Band 30 years ago at the ChicagoFest. Co-founder of their fan club in the US (The Brass Band International Horn Blowers Association) - that was fun to do!! I wish I could relive all the laughs this group brought to so many. I'm glad I can still call them friends!!!!! -- Tammy
