Damm Allan is amazing. My favorite 3d flyer by a long shot. He has clear structure during his runs while performing every trick in the book. I cant get enough of his flying.
I'd just like to add that belts also create static electricity, which can reset your Spektrum receiver in mid-flight if it comes in contact, resulting in a crash. However, there is an anti-static spray you can apply.

Hmm, big respect for the ability to control the model in that way. But where do people get off calling themselves pilots when they aren't even sitting inside the machine? That's an insult to the people who spend $60000 getting a pilots license and doing it for real, flying through IMC etc. When they crash their craft, they don't run down to the store and buy a new one :)
boy, that must be one hell of a tall pedistal you are livin on. any time you would like to come down and realize you are nothing more than a glorified bus driver that probably only flies ultralites that his dad owns. so polish up those flight wings and pin em on your badass flight jacket but be sure to sport those sweet top gun aviators and go pick up ur boyfriend on your ultralite. douschbag
Well its better than or equivalent to smoking dope, listening to rap, playing World of Warcraft, watching TV, and most of all - watching videos of Youtube and commenting on them. You're just jealous that you cant do what he can.
n. 1. One who operates or is licensed to operate an aircraft in flight.
No where does it say that you have to sit inside the machine. I don't see how it is an insult either. I have heard many actual helicopter pilots day remote control helicopters are much harfer to fly than the real thing. And Airplanes don't even come close.
Do some research before starting shit, please. of you just make a fool of yourself.
hmmm. a fine example of jealousy. blaze1024 is obviously just mad because he must be one of those guys who cant fly 3d so he flies scale helis. well my little sister is eleven and flies a scale heli no problem, so before you start dissin the best. ask yourself this, how many professional scale heli fliers do you know of. i dont know of any
Jealousy Not even close. I've been flying longer then he's been walking, Heck I have trophies older then him. At least I earned my awards the hard way. I was flying inverted using airplane radios without a gyro, governor or computer mixing, and I was wining trophies and awards doing it!!
Now you guys use computer radios to simulate skill by programing out the models bad habits. Then you use governors and heading hold gyros Heck flying has goten so easy my 14 year old had started doing 3D after only 2 gallons of fuel.
The funny part is you expect real pilots to show you respect.. You might get some respect when you earn it. Dam I can fly 30 year old machines inverted without a Gyro, Governor or computer radio that he could not hover.
I guess what I am saying is that when you can fly and Entire FAI schedule on a machine in which you machined most of the parts and do it without a governor, rate gyro using nothing more then an airplane radio and motor then you might get some respect but today the radio and electronics are doing all the hard work for you.
Furthermore it was people like me who designed and hand machined the innovate new parts, we where the ones who carved the way and made it possible for you. It's not jealousy, just lack of respect for slackers
The acrobats he does are amazing, i really don't you can pull much more out of a helicopter. And he likes 26 when he started he probably was using very simplistic equipment. I'm sure he could fly better then you without the gyro. And i don't think people who leave comments on youtube trying to brag and complain about something are very educated either. So you probably just flew helicopters but had no engineering skills to understand them.

SO this is what the once graceful art of RC Helicopter flying has been reduced to, how sad. The helicopter in the video looked like a dying chicken having a massive seizure.
theres scale pilots and sport pilots. you're obviously a fan of scale. personally i find the graceful slow and low flying of a scale bird to be boring. scale modelers are usually more interested in an authentic look than actually flying it. but thats their thing, and i respect it. why dont you have a little respect for the sports? their skill is in their high level of control, not their ability to fiberglass and detail a 1:10 cockpit with moving pilot.
One of the best of the best in 3D heli world, almost as good as Curtis himself! (curtis youngblood if you don't know).
This is an awesome heli as well. Flip it over inverted and hit full negative pitch and that thing will absolutely scream skyward, WHILE INVERTED...must be near 50mph straight verticle.

Man, I got a 450 size and that takes 350 watts for the motor...
Wonder what this thing takes!?
Plus, I wasn't aware gears were better than belts...does anyone know more about this?
Vids42 4 years ago
A belt will constantly tighten/losen in flight when flying 3d. Thats why gears are better and theres not much slack either.
trexflyr 3 years ago
But...which is more efficient?
Like for the average flyer?
Don't gears have more friction?
Vids42 3 years ago
I'd just like to add that belts also create static electricity, which can reset your Spektrum receiver in mid-flight if it comes in contact, resulting in a crash. However, there is an anti-static spray you can apply.

If your reciever is coming in contact with your belt, you've probably already crashed.
