  • worst music i have ever heard in my entire life

  • hey switched the eyes

  • dude.. nice works

  • how do you get the treble hangers to stay in?

    great vidoe

  • how come you make no more vids

  • @thefishinginHS

Meh, I might do some vids again soon. Kinda been too busy to make lures

  • C'est de se donner beaucoups de mal pour un leurre qui vaut 6.99$ !! lolll

  • Damn, excellent Idea for eyes lol

  • Great vid!

Did not know that it was easy to make a lure....Thanks

B.T.W. Whats the name of the tune????

Sounds like a old school break beat tune that was played in the U.K. clubs back in 1991????

  • is that a dremel?

  • Where can you find the eye scews?

  • Thanks. AWESOME video very creative and interesting.....Be careful with the lead , it cause cancer and yo can replaced this with resin and other weights like ball bearing.... so thanks again !!! Im from colombia !!

  • that fish has some eyes on it!

  • You are a good lure maker.

But you' been using that knife in the most dangerous way as well.

  • u can buy screweyes, works fine for me

i buy from Lundgrens Fiske, in sweden (they have an online store) they sell extra long ones for fishing

  • best music ever

  • i like your style

  • Awsome

  • how the fuck do you type in Japanese?

  • jap keyboard

  • 超炫!!

  • I am making one of these now but where do i get the hook hangers at??? also how do they stay in when a fish is pulling on it wouldn't they just pull out? Try to reply bak please!!!

  • The hook hangers look like ordinary aluminum (or other metal) wire that has been twisted. The gauge of the wire, I would guess, is around 14 to 16?

Can and/or will anyone verify that?

  • 14 to 16 is pretty large. I would say around 20 or 22 ga would be better. You can get the galvanized steel wire from a local hardware store. Just use a piece and wrap the wire around a nail or something and twist the ends. You can epoxy them into the body.

  • Good call, now that I've had a chance to look at it, you are absolutely right.... I finished one a few days ago.

  • man ur good or should i said ur a pro or should i call u Master sifu... man that was alsowm.

  • "or should I said"?, "alsowm"?

  • winy tiny... just attach split rings or use an open eye treble.........

and not bad at all for a hand carve very nice.. i use the same method with lead.

and by the way it would probly be easier to prime .. paint coat of laquer or etex the put in eyes and coat wit epoxy

  • What kind of wood are you using?

  • Pine, or any other wood with about the same buoyancy

  • where the h3ll r the hooks

  • very innovative! but how to make popper or mid dives? xD

  • POPPERS! get some dowell bout inch and a half long. 1 inch wide.. cut a v shape in one end like ------- \ / -------

then cut in half length ways, carve a little hook 'groove' down the middle of each peice. put ur hook in it (3/0), then glue it back together, paint it and add feathers or whatever and theres a DIY popper!!!!

  • where did you get the sander

    ?

  • It's just a nail polisher, I think you can find it in any Walmart kinda store

  • how much it cost?

  • about 20 bucks

  • Where can i get the wood and the stainless steel wire in singapore?

  • bad song!!!!

  • would like to make a musky glider but all mine just shoot in straight lines instead of side to side action. any ideas???shoot me a message.

  • Try to concentrate the most of the weight a little bit more on the tail section.

Also you want to place your front 'line loop' lower then the center of your bait.

If you keep this in mind you should get a walk the dog action.

    grtz

  • Two questions...

    1) What kind of wood are you using?

    2) What is the tool you are using to shape it in the beginning?

  • The Tool he was using was a fixed blade knife by the video I'd say about a 4 1/2 to 5 inch blade

The wood is most likely balsa or cedar because of the way it floats and repels water

did you check the website he has wrote down at the beginning of the video?

  • Thanks for the reply Seth...

His website didn't have anything useful.

What are you opinions on basswood?

  • from what I've read and from my personal experience basswood pine cedar and balsa are the best woods for this. oak will do but is hard to shape with regular hand tools

  • What Setht86 described is true, it is cedar.

The knife is indeed a fixed blade, simple very sharp kitchen knife.

    The website is down btw.

  • making own lures are a lot more fun then them you buy i am doing jerkbaits they catch a lot of fish.

  • That is the point, cathing something off your own baits, what do you fish for?

  • you should sell those!!

  • I did, but I don't have lots of time anymore to make huge loads

  • What method do you use to reinforce the hook loops?

  • Nowadays they go all the way through, back then I used some industrial superglue

  • And they go trough the lead when I cast it in the lead holes

  • this had got to be theee most annoying music ever.

  • cool, i gotta make one now!!! thanks for the inspiration!

  • just freakin buy one

  • thats not the point. some people find more fun in catching a fish on something they built.

  • can you make me some?

  • nice job!!!

  • Did you ever finish the lure fully and tried to use it?

  • Yep, I'll try and post a picture of it.

  • Not bad but if you plan to keep those fingers you might want to invest in a vise.

  • Hehe, I've cut them up several times :)

  • Very creative.

  • welcome AZ

  • any hobby store

  • thanks

  • where can u buy a piece of balsa wood that size?

  • yah sure

  • Finish it and show how it swims. I am making my own wood lure right now using a different technique. If you catch fish with that, good job.

  • Reminiscent of the banana shape Rapala uses in their taildancer series. Only upside down, though. Maybe I'll take a crack at it, and see if it works!

  • should make a video of you catching something off it

  • would like to see you fish with this lure
