The radio played this song frequently in the fall of 1977. That's when it cam out wasn't it? I googled Carly Simon's albums and it didn't show anything from 1977. And what it showed for 1975, 1976, 1978, and 1979 never mentioned this song. Even under her videography and works it didn't say anything about "The Spy who loved me". Any idea?

Two of the greatest backs in history! I was lucky enough to have seen both carry the ball. Brown was amazing wasn't he, 12312 yards, on grass, outdoors and only 9 seasons. Walter Sweetness Payton was simply great most all purpose yards leader for years. I too remember the CBS highlight reel the day he passed Brown. My friend we lived history, Carly's voice and lyrics, Brown's punishing running, and Payton's historic play. Had fun didn't we?

In the 60's and earlier many black artists put white people on the covers of their albums. This was a way of being unthreatening and accessible. It also encouraged young white people to buy the records because the thought was if their parents saw records with black people on them they wouldn't allow the kids to have them. Perhaps this was Carly's commentary on those times which weren't too far in the past.
