  • Welsh language is the remnants of the real Hebrew language.. Gael hedd. (Welsh) Galaed. (Hebrew) meaning Geledd (Gen.31;47) i.e. heap of testimony Anudon. (Welsh) Aen Adon. (Hebrew) meaning "Without God" Yni all sy dda. (Welsh) Ani El Saddai. (Hebrew) meaning "I am the Almighty God" (Gen. 17;1) Llai iachu yngwyddd achau ni. (Welsh) Loa yichei neged acheinu. (Hebrew) meaning "Let him not live before our brethren" (Gen.31;32). Coincidence?? I don't think so..
  • They should teach the english to speak Welsh too. I'm going to learn Welsh and I'm going to be one more Welsh speaker in the world. And I'm not a native speaker of English.

  • I am welsh and man...I feel terrible for only knowing the basics XD I've gotta get back to my roots, us welsh have thousands of years of rich heritage before the saxons came and we need to appreciate that more.

  • Welsh is such a terrible language, it's like someone dropped a Scrabble board and thought "Yeah, that'll do".

  • almost as bad as arabic.

  • Amazing! The sound like English but sometimes like france. Amazing language & amazing Culture. Greeting from Malaysia to all Welsh & UK.

  • now this is new to me!I thought Welsh was the accent of people who live in Wales or something!good to know that it's some other language!

  • I am English and i agree that in the past the English treated the Welsh like shit, and we ought to be ashamed of that. I hope the Welsh don't ever leave Britain because the diversity of Britain is what makes it so rich and strong. The Welsh language was not respected, they should have started teaching basic Welsh to young children in schools throughout Britain years ago so we can go to Wales and at least order a cup of tea and a scone. Good reason to learn welsh = the girls are beautiful :).

  • I am ashamed that my English ancestors helped to destroy the Welsh language!

  • helo bore da!! :)

  • My main nationality is welsh, and ive always wanted to speak it, anyone knows any good ways how??

  • i am american and i have taught myself some welsh and that is not how i have heard "please" said. they speak too fast or in a heavy dialect.

  • i am am3rican and i have taught myself some welsh and that is not how i have heard "please" said. they speak too fast or in a heavy dialect.

  • our english teacher is killing us right now...he wants us to learn how to speak Cockney and welsh...omg i am in danger and we are in germany

  • @axel1lover Lucky you! I wish my english teacher would've said that. Welsh is totally easy to learn, if you do it right. (And I live in germany as well - Dw i'n byw yn yr almaen hefyd - a dw i'n dysgu Cymraeg!)

  • Unfortunatly the breakup into celtic and germanic languages form he indogermanic was so long ago und they developed so different and so far apart. I'am able to read some words in very old germanic (old high german or lowsaxon, old english) but the celtic languages are completly different. I'd like to learn a bit but it's to difficult for me as a german native.

Occitan is in the downs but little by little with som hope ...that's better for Welsh , like for Catalan, statute of Wesh or Catalan is an aim for Occitan.

You are showing a method to re-socialize our minorized language in France?

Thank you , Diolch, I love your language , I am learning it.

  • I love the welsh language. I started learning it on my own some days ago.

I can pretty much already say (yes say :P) things like "Lle dach chi'n byw?" (I know how to break the sentence down etc - Lle where, dw i - am I, 'n (yn) byw (in the progress) of living?

or Braf eich cyfarfod chi (hefyd) - nice to meet you. (although I just know for the moment that this means "nice to meet you" - can't break it down, yet)

However I still have a long way to go.

  • Oh, I noticed that I wrote "dach chi" beforeof course that means "are you".

I'm pretty sure that hefyd means something like "too", because the same phrase with hefyd meant "nice to meet you, too"

  • hefyd means "also"

  • she's cute

  • DA IAWN DELYTH!! X

  • i love welsh people simple as england wales forever together

  • Lovely to hear that accent, my nain was born in Prestatyn and Taid in Bala but I never could pick it up, only remember "pass the salt" phonetic "estin a hallin" lol, we did eat a lot of fish and chips - however i can say llanfair - pg in full and astound my colleagues (grin)

  • it was peter, using my acting skills as well as my camera skills :-)

  • Very interested in the Welsh and Celtic languages. I've always wondered would the Welsh be able to understand and converse with speakers of the Cornish and Breton languages, as they do come from the same language family I believe.

  • 0:56...was that you?
