...day time is the best if you gonna do slow mo because the camera will choose a faster shutter which will give you sharper images... if that makes sense.

All you really do is turn a ring on the lens of the camera and that changes the focus from close to far. Unfortunately I don't know of any standard compact cameras that can do this, only DSLRs (e.g. Nikon D90s/D3100s, Canon 500Ds etc.) can do this really. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

wouldn't the blur in time warp be elimnated if you used a faster shutterspeed / had more light? I mean because the 24 Frames should be crystal clear shots a 1/500th of a second.

You can set your AE/AF lock button so it only toggles AE lock. Thats what I use for video so I press the button and it keeps it locked.

that's my problem, now d7000 is better but still 30 fps, so i don't know if I should get a Canon only for fps. There's no possibility to augment in after effects the frame rate ? I dont know how, but for example when u do a morphing new frames are created from the "start frame" to the "end frame" so it is not possible to think about having a morphing between every frame to simulate an higher frame rate?

it is not meant to be a slow motion camera. the higher the frame rate and resolution the smoother the slow motion with be when you crank it down. check out other videos that have slow motion with high frame rates. it looks good... this camera shoots a low frame rate, which makes it look film like, but not smooth when slowed. cool?

@MarigoldDigital hah yeah I know most of that stuff. I already own an XH A1 but I'm more satisfied with the D90's color rendition. I was planning to shoot a music video but I never got to testing it. I'll probably try it out tomorrow. You know, those shots that are in double/half time but still synced to the music.

@xexodusx if your looking to get a camera for video, most people including me, would suggest to look into the Canon 550d, the D90's competing rival, but it has been said and tested on youtube that the 550d's video setting executes much nicer frame blending and an overall better video mode. both however take stunning pictures!
