Relatives in Laos tells me they are learning chinese and vietnamese, whether we accept reality is another thing, they accept the fact that Laos is not develop on its own and the foreigners are already there building industry. I think it's OK...it is better than sell lumbers, golds, silvers and exportable objects.  With land to keep it one must develop it. The Gov benefits from taxing it and Lao people benefit from employment or economic opportunity. Lastly foreigners don't pack up the land and take it with them like other objects and it is too small for a plantation!

Laos Gov. needs to understand how to govern the land and people of Laos-- we can not sell land to foreign investors we need to lease land to foreign investors in term of the lease contract 10 to 20 years term renewal is required after the end of the contract. All money transactions,policies must be governed by Laos and all restrictions regulations, laws should be under control of Lao Gov. if we are not capable of doing business with foreigners then first we should not allowed them in at all.

Lao goverment needs money that they willing to sale land to other countries. I don't mind sale land to the investors to expand employment to Lao people, but to other countries to bring more population to it's own land. For instance chinese, Vietnamese that's insane for Lao government to allow this to happen to their own country and people. Lao people have less to speak and because of retariliation.
