Also Gohan sensed all kinds of Ki of from Cell (goku etc) so he recognized him inside the dream + Piccolo yelled "CELL!". Besides you can see anything inside dreams, this is just 1 dream, he said "these dreams" so he had many. Maybe in the other dreams Cell l different....
