@mitang Several studies suggest some genetically modified foods can potentially harm humans. The American Academy of Environmental Medicine found causation of adverse health effects in animals from some GM foods. aaemonline"dot"org/gmopost.html
@mitang Every human being has not been genetically modified by their parents genes. The USDA(and just about everyone elses) defintion of genetic modification is that it uses recombinant dna techniques. Normal breeding that most people`s parents do is not genetic modification.
@mitang Most review studies suggest animals on organic diets live longer, have less degenerative disease etc. than animals on conventional diets. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20359265
Thank you for this clear explanation of how to find organic foods at the store. I had no idea about the PLU #! Good to know! I've taught my children from the beginning how to identify organic foods by finding the USDA symbol on the packaging. I'll be teaching them the PLU trick now too! Thanks!
Give me a break Everyone exposes to millions of chemicals every single day. Eating organic food won't make you healthier people. Coffee bean is a nature pesticide, Tobacco is another naturally existed pesticide. Your body has its own way to handle chemicals, you don't need to "detox", there is no scientific evidence to show what exactly are the toxic substances.
Genetically modified food won't hurt you, every human being is genetically modified based on your parents genes unless you are a clone
@mitang Yeah but certain things can build up your body overloading your system. This can be anything, even water. If you have too much coffee or tobacco, you will become addicted to the stuff. This is really because they simulate certain parts of the brain. People have more energy after drinking coffee because the caffeine in it stimulates certain nerve cells tricking your body into producing more adrenaline.
Stuff DOES effect our bodies, just be careful not to have too much of anything.
@OniLinkSword I definitely agree with you about stuff effects our bodies. We are what we eat. My point is does organic food has such a significant positive effect to our bodies as many people assume and they got influenced so much by the mass media thinking anything else except organic is toxic. I know a family only buy organic food because they think it's the only healthy food in the world not to mention stores like Whole Food put a ridiculous price on organic food.
@mitang That is very true. I'm sure the people starving in other countries wont care weather or not the food given to them is genetical altered or not. It's food that provides nutrition. At the same time, you don't want to bathe in pesticides. Moderation is defiantly the keyword. I generally have whatever is cheeper unless there is an obvious difference in taste. ie. I'll have whatever type of apple, but certain organic milk tastes better to me. =)
The one world order has saw to it that most food is adulterated. Change is coming. Until then, coops, grow our own and create your own reality where the governments will stay out of our business. Just my opinion. Thanks.
i like the venus project's approach on this. google it

Good information. Of course the best way to know it's Organic is to grow it yourselves or go to a real organic farm.

Is there any real food in the world anymore? When will people grow there own food, or start community greenhouses for the summer and winter. Peace

@rjnovac your opinion is valid and awesome. government needs to stay the fuck out of our business, and big companies need to die.
