  • The reality is, they don't want you teaching your kids about religion, the truth about global politics, or about the corruption of organisations like the UN and EU, they want to steal their minds and indoctrinate them so they think these organisations are a good thing. They want them to think what they're told to think, not to think for themselves. They know how important it is to get their hands on them while they're still young and they're preparing to make it legal for them to do so.

  • Maybe the government is simply afraid of the Christian education that some of the home-schooled children receive, and that's why they want to barge in on your privacy and take away your right to educate your children in a way you deem fit. I support home schooling all the way. If I had children, I would educate them at home, mainly because I don't trust public school education. Public school education is an evil and godless institution and a very bad influence for kids.

  • ha ha that was a good statement it would be funny to see what kind of answers they'd give in a face to face public interview

  • Bloom's a legend

  • hear hear!!

  • "An attack on home educators is an attack on all our Liberties. They must be defended from an all powerful state."

In light of the government's review into home education (the Badman review), I think it can truthfully be said that home education is under threat and that dangerous precedents will be set if current proposals become law.

Thank you for recognising the seriousness of this Godfrey.

  • hey thanks Godfrey! It's nice to hear someone sticking up for us home-educators. I'd like to add that home-education is not just about the parent's right to home-educate; more importantly it is about the child's right to choose the manner of their education. We don't hear as much as we should about children's rights - not about real fundamental children's rights like privacy, self-determination and freedom. Home-ed kids will be very unimpressed if Labour starts meddling in their education.

  • It all boils down to the government needing to indoctrinate their future EU members into subservient pawns. And if they really are afraid of potential child abusers as they love to claim? Then that excuse works both ways. Government snoopers and tax inspectors should also be barred from entering peoples homes just in case they're child abusers.
