@bigbengamer no, i have a friend works at trawsfynydd nuclear power station, he does have extensive knowlege of radiation shielding.....two millimeters of aluminium is not adequate by anyones science, the apollo craft had even less than that

@bigbengamer no, you THINK im over the precipice, but your thoughts contain nothing more than nasa's propaganda, you dont have the wit to think for yourself or do your own research, you sit happily digesting their bullshit without question, like a cow in the field....munch munch munch....faaart.....munch munch munch, but there aint nothing happening between the ears
@whackitov My friend, keep in mind that you came to this video calling NASA bullshit. You either are too stupid to let alone what you don't like, or you're intentionally coming here looking to troll people. I think we've entertained each other enough here, I for one am moving on. Good day to you and your aggressive and poorly outlined approach to your conspiracy theories.
@whackitov And to answer your question, Lead absorbs radioactive rays, while aluminium can actually deflect it from whatever surface it is covering. Why do you think radiation suits are not made out of lead? They are light and shiny. They can also get away with such a thin layer of protection on the spacecraft because they do not have to worry about wind resistance in space. Your radiation specialist friend is not an astrophysicist.
@bigbengamer do a simple search, 'radiation shielding materials' .....watch how 'aluminium' barely gets a mention. wood is better than aluminium even
baffles me why a radiologist wears a lead impregnated apron and not a aluminium impregnated one, afterall, aluminium weights a lot less, when there are such knowledgeable people as yourself on the planet :/

@bigbengamer Yeah, I imagine I'll be long gone by then... either that, or still clueless and ignorant to stuff like this. It starts to hurt my head haha.
What will happen as these satelites age and wear out? What plans are there for newer, improved observation satelites as technology advances? Thanks for the great vided!
if they did visit us i know that they must have turned back in disgust.for them to see that we have not moved on past our own silly fears and predujices.still too primitive as they say in all the sci fi shows.
I hope someone creates a video game where you have to launch things to space which would interact with objects of different mass and trajectory. That would be awesome
I wonder if we get enough of these metallic orbs making sharp projections and close trajectories to our earth, will it influence our current stabilization. Sure a butterfly taking its last flap in space will not change the magnetic field of the earth any sooner or will it? If we could hitch a ride with a comet, detach, then we could reach the bow shock faster.
@FieldMajor76: I presume you're asking whether more satellites could cause the Earth to wobble into Mars, or the sun, or start a new ice age. No, they won't. The whole set taken together don't provide the perturbation that Jupiter does every time we pass it in orbit, and we've been doing that for billions of years.
@puncheex : Not so much the gravity, but the metallic highly conductive debris the size of SUVs. Kinda like swinging a golf club in a lighting storm. Satellites could be sun rods(as opposed to lighting rods) when the sun reaches its next maximum. The sun has over 99 percent of the mass of the solar system, but only about 1 percent of the angular momentum of our solar system. Pluto would pull harder on the sun then Jupiter if its angular momentum swung inside the orbit of mercury.
@FieldMajor76: I don't think you need to worry. The Earth's mag field routinely handles energies sufficient to vaporize all these satellites with room to spare. The magnetic field is tremendously stable, due to the sheer size of the dynamo causing it. Even in those times that the polarity of the field switches, the residual local fields do enough to protect the fauna - studies show no decrease in biosphere during any of the many shifts that have happened in the last 200 million years.
You might want to do research and figure out why we launched apollo missions on certain dates, hint, it's due to the relative positioning of the earth, sun and moon and the fact that the moon's distance varies by as much as 10%.
They effectively used earth as a shield which is why timing was very important
Without the sun there is no magnetosphere...and venus grows closer....chaos is near......and the Anunaki one planet over......when does earth swap orbits with Mars....? as venus exits ?
Think about it -.- it's just not possible that god always existed. i mean ALWAYS like soo long that long isn't enough. it sounds pretty funny that there have always been some guy or living thing what can do anything somewhere -.- if god is real he should have come from something and that sounds pretty hard to believe too so most likely it/he/she isn't real
Ok so what do you suggest? That everything just came out of nothing and that the big bang just "happened" with nothing before it? Do you think that every single thing that we see touch or feel came from "nothing" If we exist then something has obviously been there forever. If I say who created God and give you for example X created God you'd say then who created X I'd tell you H created X and we could go like that forever.
1) quantum physics suggests that it's possible it did, and if it didn't so what?
2) saying it's impossible for something to be infinite then asserting something that existed forever is contradictory, it's like saying god waited an eternity before creating the universe, it's a paradox that only occurs when you assert the cosmological argument or the first cause argument..
3) find definitive evidence rather than linking personal beliefs to what is now
Well dude, obviously no one can believe in something without evidence, it's not about personal belief, I was an atheist for a long time but thought of it and found that being an atheist was ridiculous. Simply look at intelligence, look at the engineering of the human body and how complicated it is. If I gave you a laptop 500 years ago and told you well nature created it you'd never believe it because it's impossible, yet you'd still believe that humans were created by nature.
1) if you believed that it poofed into existence with no precursors I could see your point, however the evidence indicates that we're the result of many precursors that had more primitive concepts of intelligence that has evolved.
2) basically you're arguing that existence is proper evidence while making many assumptions that have no validation of any kind even though we wouldn't be able to have the discussion if things were different enough to not allow intelligence =P
3) if I were to win the lottery and asserted, the possibilities were so improbable for me to have won that zeus must have guided it you'd probably laugh, and rightfully so, things happened the way they did, after they've already happened, the chances of them happening are 100%
Also your assertion on the laptop is rather amusing because I'd ask you how nature did it. I'd also say it's probably made by humans because there are other such machines and it contains language specific to humans =P, rather than doing either you're basically doing the equivalent of saying "magic" rather than letting anyone investigate any further.
Something has to create something, something can't just come out of nothing, God didn't come from anywhere because God is infinite which means that he doesn't have a beginning nor an end: he ALWAYS existed.
Not always true they just try to give answers to questions they don't fully understand. Because people like us want to know whats happening they have to give us something and most of the time it is near expectations.
Nothing confusing there. The time speeding up further away from the Earth just to help you to see the moving objects. To see the path of the satelites. You don't want to sit on the front of your screen for a year just to see Earth orbiting the Sun once, do you? There are waste distances in the space.(at least for are current technologies)
hey fuck you! its ignorant to believe that lifeforms that live thousands of lightyears away that have gained the technology to travel to earth and hide the fact that they are here. somehow you think that nasa are hiding them from us? Even if these lifeforms could travel as far as earth they wouldnt even know we where here, if they did they wouldnt even bother. learn a bit more a about the SIZE of the universe and more about logical science before you even TRY to argue with me.
its ignorant to believe they didn't. we've studied bears and gorillas by living among them. we travel underwater to study sharks. we endure the harsh cold of the antarctic in order to find valuable geological data that tells of the ancient world. for fucks sake, we even hold renaissance fairs so people can enjoy the nostalgia of medieval europe and asia. do you really think that a civilization far advanced from us couldn't see some sort of interest in us? maybe our body fat makes good face cream
ok i get what you mean. But what i meant is that if these beings did find us intruiging why do they beat about the bush and not show themselves to us. and please dont tell me "that its because we wouldnt understand or they dont for their own safety" etc.
but come on now! humans (collectively) are terrible beings. sure, we have redeeming qualities but if "alien life" know we are here (and i am not saying i believe they are capable of even knowing where we are in the first place) then they why do they only abduct or study the most idiotic of humans but reall i was only trying to prove to TheSiCkSiDeRiDeR that NASA wouldnt bother determining their existance because they know deep down that what we see/know as UFOs, arent life from other galaxies.
1. imagine knowing something that someone else, through however much training or education, simply would not be able to understand. there are things about the universe that we will not be able to notice, much less comprehend.
2. if you didnt want it to be known you exist, wouldn't you rather be seen by someone who isn't all that credible?
3. how do you know that life from another galaxy hasn't been to this one? this universe is estimated to be trillions of years old. someone figured it out i bet
1. we could comprehend it. even people that have no idea of the size of the universe, my 4 yo nephew could comprehend it! humankind arent exactly hanging people for being witches anymore.
2. i'd defenitely rather be known by a human of more credibilty than somone who is allready a lunatic, like............ hawking or someone.
3. THE UNIVERSE IS TOO BIG.
i get what youre saying, but just like religion, santaclause, bigfoot, ufo's etc. i'd LOVE to believe it, but in my head LOGICalway prevails.
Familiarize yourself with Thomas Nagel. he is a Philosopher. he wrote an article called, "what is it like to be a bat?" in it he states that an organism has conscious mental states if and only if there is something that it is like to be that organism.
2. but you've never been abducted, have you?
3. we have no idea of the true size of the universe, nor all of its possibilities. there are still unsolved mysteries out there because there are aspects to them that still nobody has thought to think of
and stephen hawking is responsible for some of the greatest advances in astronomy and science. just because you can't comprehend his theories, just as i can't decipher them fully, doesn't mean he's a lunatic. you and i are far from smart compared to him
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Steven Hawking is responsible for letting garbage theories like Black Holes and Dark Matter propagate in the scientific community. Those are matters of Philosophy, as neither of them can be observed, or tested against. Learn the scientific method, these theories are flawed from the get go, and should never have been propagated this long.
Their predictive qualities are Nil (how many NASA papers do you read where they are regularly "surprised").
The predictive quality of a theory is its strength.
Theory: the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another
He is one of the greatest scientists of all time, not philosophers. The scientific community is highly intelligent, and can tell the difference between the two. NASA has also used the Hubble to find the evidence of black holes and dark matter.
Judging from your "intellectual" comment, I'm going to guess that you are not a scientist, but instead a creationist. Am i right?
You do realize that we have all probably seen UFOs in our life. Some see them every day? A UFO isnt necessarily an alien spaceship..its just an "Unidentified flying object"
And when it comes to aliens..there is no way in HELL we are the only living life forces in this universe, were so minuscule, so small compared to everything, think about it. There are more galaxies in the universe then every grain of sand on this planet, and thats a lot. (Whats beyond space, Is it infinite?)
Actually, you're right, the universe is so vast that the probability of another intelligence ever contacting us is pretty unlikely.
I'm not saying they aren't out there, just that the speeds required to traverse the distances between galaxies, or even stars are insane. Theoretical methods such as warp drive or space-rifting are nice, but most likely not ever possible. Not by us or aliens.
Yea I agree with you there, light can only go at the speed it can because it has no mass, if we were to go at the speed of light in a space craft out mass would rip the fabric of space and time and probably create a paradox soooo aliens are unlikely to visit us
I didn't know we had so many satellites out there in those locations. I read SOHO is used in the study of Helioseismology. We need to learn all we can about our star how it functions and how it can destroy us if we do not take proper measures to protect ourselves whether it be in space or on Earth.
Dont u Worry PeopLE Earth Built in poRtal itsElf. it has called bermuda triangLe, . its our only last hope iF we cannot save all of us in coming solar crisis but not only relying on portals we must to do everything to save our own home planet b4 we have no choice 4 leaveing,, coz not all has a capabilities to flyby the galaxy or we gonna to late to have high civilization run out of time, .. but if were leaving just think that's all in here not looks like in the other side of the portal..
Great comment, yeah I like him. But...Home improvement was much better than lime. It was clazy show about three pit eaters and their young dog. A giant rat was there too.

Time is faster farther away from Earth?
Makes no sense to me. If these guys want to explain something so complicated (the video) they should use concepts that aren't so confusing.
shawondemand 2 years ago
Nothing confusing there. The time speeding up further away from the Earth just to help you to see the moving objects. To see the path of the satelites. You don't want to sit on the front of your screen for a year just to see Earth orbiting the Sun once, do you? There are waste distances in the space.(at least for are current technologies)
Marrs101 2 years ago 3
This Sun is obviously a threat to National Security. We must begin the War against the Sun, being vigilant in the fight on sunlight
101101101777 2 years ago 3
So if the magnetosphere protects us from the sun, is that saying that even if we were to figure out how to get man to mars it wouldn't be safe?

shut up travesti stupid ignorant
TheSiCkSiDeRiDeR 2 years ago
hey fuck you! its ignorant to believe that lifeforms that live thousands of lightyears away that have gained the technology to travel to earth and hide the fact that they are here. somehow you think that nasa are hiding them from us? Even if these lifeforms could travel as far as earth they wouldnt even know we where here, if they did they wouldnt even bother. learn a bit more a about the SIZE of the universe and more about logical science before you even TRY to argue with me.
siouxzanne84 2 years ago
its ignorant to believe they didn't. we've studied bears and gorillas by living among them. we travel underwater to study sharks. we endure the harsh cold of the antarctic in order to find valuable geological data that tells of the ancient world. for fucks sake, we even hold renaissance fairs so people can enjoy the nostalgia of medieval europe and asia. do you really think that a civilization far advanced from us couldn't see some sort of interest in us? maybe our body fat makes good face cream
bigbengamer 2 years ago 2
ok i get what you mean. But what i meant is that if these beings did find us intruiging why do they beat about the bush and not show themselves to us. and please dont tell me "that its because we wouldnt understand or they dont for their own safety" etc.
siouxzanne84 2 years ago
but come on now! humans (collectively) are terrible beings. sure, we have redeeming qualities but if "alien life" know we are here (and i am not saying i believe they are capable of even knowing where we are in the first place) then they why do they only abduct or study the most idiotic of humans but reall i was only trying to prove to TheSiCkSiDeRiDeR that NASA wouldnt bother determining their existance because they know deep down that what we see/know as UFOs, arent life from other galaxies.
siouxzanne84 2 years ago
1. imagine knowing something that someone else, through however much training or education, simply would not be able to understand. there are things about the universe that we will not be able to notice, much less comprehend.
2. if you didnt want it to be known you exist, wouldn't you rather be seen by someone who isn't all that credible?
3. how do you know that life from another galaxy hasn't been to this one? this universe is estimated to be trillions of years old. someone figured it out i bet
bigbengamer 2 years ago
1. we could comprehend it. even people that have no idea of the size of the universe, my 4 yo nephew could comprehend it! humankind arent exactly hanging people for being witches anymore.
2. i'd defenitely rather be known by a human of more credibilty than somone who is allready a lunatic, like............ hawking or someone.
3. THE UNIVERSE IS TOO BIG.
i get what youre saying, but just like religion, santaclause, bigfoot, ufo's etc. i'd LOVE to believe it, but in my head LOGICalway prevails.
siouxzanne84 2 years ago
Familiarize yourself with Thomas Nagel. he is a Philosopher. he wrote an article called, "what is it like to be a bat?" in it he states that an organism has conscious mental states if and only if there is something that it is like to be that organism.
2. but you've never been abducted, have you?
3. we have no idea of the true size of the universe, nor all of its possibilities. there are still unsolved mysteries out there because there are aspects to them that still nobody has thought to think of
bigbengamer 2 years ago
and stephen hawking is responsible for some of the greatest advances in astronomy and science. just because you can't comprehend his theories, just as i can't decipher them fully, doesn't mean he's a lunatic. you and i are far from smart compared to him

Tzunamii777 2 years ago
*sigh* another ignorant moron. ok here we go:
Theory: the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another
He is one of the greatest scientists of all time, not philosophers. The scientific community is highly intelligent, and can tell the difference between the two. NASA has also used the Hubble to find the evidence of black holes and dark matter.
Judging from your "intellectual" comment, I'm going to guess that you are not a scientist, but instead a creationist. Am i right?

@bigbengamer fuck that we are the aliens.
dano132454 6 months ago
You do realize that we have all probably seen UFOs in our life. Some see them every day? A UFO isnt necessarily an alien spaceship..its just an "Unidentified flying object"
And when it comes to aliens..there is no way in HELL we are the only living life forces in this universe, were so minuscule, so small compared to everything, think about it. There are more galaxies in the universe then every grain of sand on this planet, and thats a lot. (Whats beyond space, Is it infinite?)
TekBubs 2 years ago 3
Actually, you're right, the universe is so vast that the probability of another intelligence ever contacting us is pretty unlikely.
I'm not saying they aren't out there, just that the speeds required to traverse the distances between galaxies, or even stars are insane. Theoretical methods such as warp drive or space-rifting are nice, but most likely not ever possible. Not by us or aliens.
derpusderp 2 years ago
Yea I agree with you there, light can only go at the speed it can because it has no mass, if we were to go at the speed of light in a space craft out mass would rip the fabric of space and time and probably create a paradox soooo aliens are unlikely to visit us

I didn't know we had so many satellites out there in those locations. I read SOHO is used in the study of Helioseismology. We need to learn all we can about our star how it functions and how it can destroy us if we do not take proper measures to protect ourselves whether it be in space or on Earth.
