@GlenGrunge I think guys like Steve Vai already figured this technique in the 80's before "Cemetery Gates was even written.But I understand that a lot of people are not aware of that. Dimebag did really make his guitar scream though in Cemetery Gates.

There are certain frets that you can touch your finger to without pressing down and strum. It goes BING! Try 12th string.

you dig in to the string and you let your finger graze it. Its a feel thing. the easiest way to learn how to get it right is probably watch Joe Satriani. He plays the harmonics with his picking hand then uses the fretboard hand on the whammy bar.

if you cant do pinch harmonics.... you really just have to mess around with that until you find the sweet spot on your guitar and practice.

Well, you can press the whammy bar down before you do the harmonic, then lift it back to the original position to raise the pitch, but the effect won't be as drastic. Also, shaking the whammy bar up and down creates the so-called "horsey" effect.

It is possible but when you raise the tremolo you will get a nasty buzzing noise when the strings hit the fret board and the dive bomb etc wont last as long.
