I love how they sound from the pre-combustion that the 1693's used. I had a Pete with a 325-hp 1693T and from day one I only used Shell Rotella T oil in it and at 600,000 miles had to change the head gasket. That was the only major engine work I did to her. I drove her 1K and sold her to a friend. The engine went a million miles before it blew from a failed water hose.
that ole B model deserves to be restored to origanal too!
