Best sermon I ever heard. I wish they would play this every Monday at 8:00pm on every channel. I am agnostic and don't believe in any religion, but this guy speaks the truth (at least in this sermon). Email your senators and tell them you want the federal reserve system done away with. Tell them it is the most important issue to you and trumps all others (and it should. It interferes with all other issues) and you will only vote for someone willing to end the federal reserve system. I did it.
Just in case you are wondering, the money to pay the interest comes in the form of growth. That is why when the economy slows down the growth rate, we are in a recession. When the growth slows down, we can't service the interest on the debt.
Yes... but we're talking COMPOUND interest, here (interest on interest), which means, if you know the least bit about mathematics, that at some point the debt begins to balloon at an exponential rate (doubling and redoubling). Growth can only happen at incremental rates. And the whole thing falls down (unless you really believe that we can continually double, indefinitely, the sizes of our homes, the numbers of our cars, the amounts of food we eat, the numbers of outfits we own, etc.).

You're right, of course, that "steady growth is, by its very nature exponential," but I think you and I know this is why "steady growth" is an impossible myth. Growth has to happen in real life, with real resources and labour, which makes it a finite quantity, moving closer and closer to zero as efficiency is maximized. Interest exists on a balance sheet, where it can balloon out of all proportion.
We need a unified voice. People need to put aside the little differences and not let the media or the politicians side track us. I'm reading the comments expressing distrust and/or hatred for preachers and by extension, religion. To frame my comment in proper context, I am an atheist, I do not believe in a god. Yes, interest should be at 0%. Having good and decent people actually lend/give money when and where needed is a good system. Relying purely on the selfishness of humans does not create a good system.

pastor rod rocks! i am glad sombody has to guts to say somthing. the fed reserve wasfecently sued by a group of people so it could be audited, this group of people won the case. the fed reserve refused to do the audit even though there was a court order. does not suprise me!, would it be possible for us americans to force the FR, into bankrupcy? (being that it is a corparation) the gov. would not owe its debt to them and we could take back the control of our money? does the FR pay taxes?

@Darthzala At one time I thought that was a high probability but I don't beleive so any longer,the reasoning is that China and Japan depends on the U.S banking system,and the fact that the vast majority of China and Japanese held assets are U.S bank owned,or U.S corporation,the system is a world financial system,the middle east is the only part in the world that doesn't use this central banking,that's why there's war there.

This IS a powerful message and I never knew Rod Parsley preached this sermon waaaay before thre credit crisis and recession of 2007-2009. But to respond to ppl that said God should stop this--all of what Rod is talking about has been spoken of in the Bible. Take some time out and read it for yourself. Many will folks will parish that worship their money, cars, homes, celebrities, etc. Wake up and get to know Christ for yourself!

I find it encouraging that a mainstream preacher understands, like I and many others have understood for years. Seems like this preacher had an epiphiny or something and this was the first time he broke this to his congregation.
But, however, the sad things is, while admonishing people to stop buying on credit and stop robbing God,he's definitely motivated to get to the bottom of why the offering plates are not supporting that HUGE BUILDING and THAT huge lifestyle anymore.

Even though what Rod Parsley is saying is much needed information that we all need to learn about (so we can correct the problem) However not only is this guy a 501(c)(3) conspirator, but he's a TBN prosperity teacher as well. So I guess I'll be impressed when I see some actual patriotism coming from this guy, and not just vain lip service from his mouth.

Best sermon I ever heard. I wish they would play this every Monday at 8:00pm on every channel. I am agnostic and don't believe in any religion, but this guy speaks the truth (at least in this sermon). Email your senators and tell them you want the federal reserve system done away with. Tell them it is the most important issue to you and trumps all others (and it should. It interferes with all other issues) and you will only vote for someone willing to end the federal reserve system. I did it.

Just in case you are wondering, the money to pay the interest comes in the form of growth. That is why when the economy slows down the growth rate, we are in a recession. When the growth slows down, we can't service the interest on the debt.

Yes... but we're talking COMPOUND interest, here (interest on interest), which means, if you know the least bit about mathematics, that at some point the debt begins to balloon at an exponential rate (doubling and redoubling). Growth can only happen at incremental rates. And the whole thing falls down (unless you really believe that we can continually double, indefinitely, the sizes of our homes, the numbers of our cars, the amounts of food we eat, the numbers of outfits we own, etc.).

Click view all comments and you will see them in the correct order and you will see why I agree with you. If we don't grow we can't service the interest and that is one of biggest problems with our system. It's also a problem that all money is debt. That is why our system is collapsing.
BTW.. Steady growth, is by it's very nature exponential. To find the doubling rate divide 70 by the growth rate and that's how many years. 10% growth doubles in 7 years... Interest Necessitates growth, which sux!

Yeah, I figured we might be on the same page (reading your earlier comments confirmed it). You're right, of course, that "steady growth is, by its very nature exponential," but I think you and I know this is why "steady growth" is an impossible myth. Growth has to happen in real life, with real resources and labour, which makes it a finite quantity, moving closer and closer to zero as efficiency is maximized. Interest exists on a balance sheet, where it can balloon out of all proportion.

It happens every time. 1/2 the presidential campaign was about Joe the plumber and gas prices. Nobody wants to address the $9T debt and the $42T liabilities. WHEN (not if) the dollar collapses people are going to learn the hard way. What sux, is look at the ideas floating around right now (socialism). Real change only comes with emergencies, the ideas get implemented.

When our government needs money, they print it. Our money DEVALUES, EG. 50% against the Euro, therefore, my country just lost 50% of its' value. My currency looks the same, prices remain the same or similar to me, EXCEPT, A FRENCHMAN GETS A 50% DISCOUNT on my stuff!

I think everyone should listen to this man and know, that he is only trying to help his felow man. Stupid is not bliss. Stupid breeds itself. Wake up people and learn to be responsible. Money is not evil and he is not saying that. Interest is not evil, Just know debt is bad, Having debt is the subject, and our government has alot of debt and will be brankrupt soon. Be informed, His message is to inform you and get you ready for what is at stake.

Nice try to convince his sheep that comunism is good. He doesn't have no knowledge of economy at all or he is simply lying. He is saying that intrest should be @ 0??!!! Who would lend then money at all except inside a family? Is it really better to buy a house at an age of 50 by savings only? I think it makes pretty much sense to get a credt if you can afford the rates.
So compare your life in an economy with the ability of lending to one wothout. BWT: USA owe most oft the money to China.

you miss the point- all interest goes to the 'bankers' who own the Fed. These 'bankers' are NOT the US government, they are private induviduals. If the US government owned the Fed, than all interest would go to people of the United States, as it rightfully should.

First I should say that I think it's absolutely wrong to write Ron Paul's name on the titel of this blabbing. This man is a priest or whatever he's called in a church and has no idea about the banking system and the economy at all. And do you really want to give all banks into public hands (=communism btw)? If you'll open a bank that should sustain its business for years you would just a well take intrest - at least in order to cover your rent, personel etc. and the calculated risk.

Yes, interest should be at 0%. Having good and decent people actually lend/give money when and where needed is a good system. Relying purely on the selfishness of humans does not create a good system.

Well, the problem is that humans are often very selfish and you can't change it. If you could communism would actually work - but it doesn't. So even if we get back to the gold-standard (then even more) people will prefer to have money now instead of next year, in order to get the benefits right now. Interest would then simplified be composed of the market's preference of having the money now, the costs of transaction and the risk that the lender won't pay back.i=0% is only possible in deflation

I used to go to a local mega church who's pastor is buddies with Rod Parsley. I am so wonderfully surprised to see an evangelical coming forth with this. To many, it is a revelation of truth. I hope other pastors take up this banner. To do so implies support for Ron Pauls candidacy.

This pastor's name is Rod Parsley and his church is "Harvest Church" of Columbus, Ohio. The federal goverment hates this guy! They have tried to implement bogus federal charges in the past but nothing stuck.
