Unfortunately, Neville Longbottom IS supposed to get better and become less awkward towards the end of the series.. and in that case kicking Matthew Lewis out wouldn't be a good thing to do :D besides they've had him for long, plus he's a great actor, so why would the HP casting officials even want to do that if they were truly human?

Besides, appearances still DO count onscreen; just think of how many female fans would watch the HP films if there were a brand new (sizzling hot) Neville in 'em.
