@Grazfather I groan every time I hear myself say it, too. I wrote the joke to be "how did the etymology of 'sucking dick' come to mean you're not very good at something kind of difficult..." but i fucked it up. A colloquialism is a more accurate description that lends itself to varied ways of saying that phrase, but it's difficult to get out without stuttering. The joke is more about the evolution of the term over time, as opposed to just the easily-replaced slang.
"Where did that become the etyomology ...?"
You meant, "Where (or how) did that become the colloquialism for being terrible at something"
