  • Ah, fun times listening to this at the old Davinci Manor in Chicago

  • Ms Thing, there is NO guests list tonight..

  • I remember when this track first came out iin the clubs back in the 90's. Video Vibrations on BET, which playes house videos ran the shit out of it and I loved every minute of it. Classic track this is. The video depicted just how the house music clubs are. So much happening at once. All kinds of effects for the eye. The ambience is captured in this video. It sucks I can't find it here on You Tube.

  • There is no guest list tonight. Lol. Classic. Can't wait til the movie. Youtube Lil Louis Get Down

  • Oh, I am smiling from ear to ear. Listening to this album takes me back to my college days. We used to use this album as our warm up in Mr. Greene's dance class, and it served as the inspiration for several fashion show scenes :-)))

  • Classic.............

  • Can I say Classic. I started this track on on my house mix that is aired on the Fingersnaps Music Salon on 89.5 KPOO San Francisco. I am on from 12mid to 3:00am Wednesdays just in cased you needed to know that. I feature Disco, A house mix, NuJazz and Soul music. Tone in and feel the vibe of the bay.

  • Memories ... Very Good !

  • my name is on tha list....

  • I was twelve when this came out....this is my shit

  • omg this is my roots. im 28 my brother was 10 years older than me and to say the least a house head and so am i. would like to go to sum house clubs but everytime i go all the gay people hit on me and i cant let loose and be free. sooooo not fair

  • I just found out today that I play basketball with Lil Louis... my mind is blown.

  • awwww, remember traveling from Trenton, NJ going up RT 1 then the GSP enroute to BRICK CITY, NJ (NEWARK) just to have a good time. party till 5 am in the morning. stopping off at White castle or the Omega Diner on RT 1. tired as hell, but I would not change it, if I had to relive those day all over again, not at all!!!!

  • @msk518 I used to take the same route but kept heading south after hitting the clubs and going to Mastori's in Bordentown. Good ole days are still the best of days.

  • This is what music is all about. There is nothing like uplifting house. Thanks for the updload.

  • I'm from Baltimore and this was a favorite the DJ's would mix so well! I've been looking as well and it sounds as good today as it did...how many years ago? Thanks for posting!

  • ....Suck me sideways!!!! TUNE!!!!!!

  • Massive, 1 of my best ever slices of HOUSE MUSIC ever made!!

  • Damn!!! I used to get sweaty down to my socks jammin' to this during the glory days of NYC's house scene. Ahhhh, the memories.

  • I'll never get tired of this song!

  • FACTORIAAAA///WURRRRKKK.....

  • Nobody plays house in Richmond, VA. NOBODY!!! :(((( F***in' sick of same poop (oops :)) pop crap everywhere.... This song is epitome of classic dance/house and I miss, miss, MISSSSSS IT! I just want to be able to go out and dance to the music that I LOVE <3 WTH happened? where r they hiding?!

  • @1ckretsqurl you're not alone....went to a club in the casino (AC) and they played "progressive" crap all night long (4 hrs was there) 140 BPM. Too concerned syncing the videos to the music than playing ANY even remotely interesting music. Give me just ONE more Saturday night in the Paradise Garage in the late 70's with Larry Levan (or just about any other hole in the wall club had better vibes than today)

  • @dirtyedna ah the paradise garage! if you want to get some oldskool flava with cool current house vibes, come out to Coney Island on Saturdays & Sundays. a few oldskool DJ's and current ones come by and play sets during the day in the summer behind the Cyclone on the boardwalk.

  • great great album

  • You have to be lonely to go out and party. the lonely people are the people in the clubs afriad to dance, the ones who are standing like they hold up the walls.

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! while happily jackin my body to this tasty treat, I do confess that i am one the "lonely people"an i'm no longer ashamed!

  • Omg i remember keys to the house! I lived in the central vally back then!

  • One of my favorite records!

  • Another Keys to the Houze classic. Some how Stockton Ca was off the hook when Mark the Lark spun deep house. It helped out SF Oak San Jose extention to northern cali. To bad good music like this had to fade. Sure wish flashbacks happened everywhere...................r. i.p. Keys

  • Classic House Music for yo a__!!!! Yeah!

  • Queer Nation at The Gardening Club, Covent Garden - the best times ever!!!!

  • I'll admit, I've known about lil louis since I was 13 in 1997 (thank you liner notes of Daft Punk's "Homework"), but it wasn't until I started buying vinyl in 2002 that I got into his music. I love classic house music from the late 80s and early 90s...that NYC/Chicago house sound. I may be 26 but I appreciate good music whereever it is. I'm just happy for youtube where people of all ages can gush over their favorite music.

  • this is 22 years ago and still sweet from the munkster

  • @monkhalls

A classic is just that Munkster. Those first two albums could be remastered today, re-released, and they will still hit harder than most of this new stuff out. Louis was before his time.

  • It never should've gotten away from this.

  • @DeepMusicChannel

Such a difference from "The Mind of Lil Louis" but still a great album. The jazzier cuts stood out to me first when I purchased it way back when. And after sitting with it, I knew the House heads were in for a surprise in the years to come. Both albums are a MUST have.

Sitting with the newest album, Two Sides To Every Story, now...

Indeed. Both of the early offerings were Clasic material

  • @starfxnplayr lil louis is new york house not chi - town they just played the hell out of him

  • @perryclouse1 lil louis is from Chicago not NY. He might have a more NY sound but he's definitely from Chi and came up in that scene in the 80's (third biggest dj, behind Frankie and Ron)

  • @MrWobbler82 so tired of New Yorkers trying to rep house music, we all know that house music orginated in Chicago. It's our music and we owned it. New York has hip hop.

  • @MrWobbler82 I agree, so tired of New Yorkers trying to rep house music, we all know that house music orginated in Chicago. It's our music and we owned it. New York has hip hop.

  • I remember watching this video on Video Vibrations on BET back in the 90's. That's when house was really at it's peak. Not saying that it's went anywhere. I believe it just had more commercialized exposure back then. I love this track. The clubs rocked it on a regular.
