I can see why they've been compared, and Mika does have a good voice, but nobody measures to Freddie Mercury. I remember being at Glastonbury, and as soon as Mika got on stage all I could hear was booing, and I was sat outside my tent about a mile away from the stage. Freddie was camp yet extremely masculine at the same time. He inspired many bands to come later down the line. He was charasmatic. Plus he installed pride in being British.

mika can hit the high notes only and he's always overdoing the falsettos because he can't sing in any other way. he seems to falter with the low notes. freddie is a natural baritone who could sing as a tenor...so he definitely had more range. emotionally, he appealed to everyone. Queen's music is very masculine with a soft, sensitive touch. Mike sings girly, campy, emotionless music that shows off his high notes. he can sound like a cat whose balls are being squeezed.

They both hit the pitch, but just listen to Freddies' strength - And I'm not talking about the shouting, rocky parts, which both can do as well - I'm talking about depth, about strength of personality which freddy incorporates passionatley in his singing. That's where Mika fails.

You can't learn personality and inner strenght, you got to feel it and let it grow together with the rest of you, you got to be it! Freddie did it naturally. It was him!
