I love how Isaac says I think you guys know this one and then the fans start singing the chorus at the wrong part and Taylor looks at them like what the heck. If the fans are going to sing it they need to sing it right.
yea Taylor got confused with the words and that was cute and then the fans got it alittle worng but he just went with it!! (we control the game! lol) it's awesome i wish that i was there.. :)
I love to hear the audience singing along. especially during the chorus and loud rock songs, like "Great Divide" or "Rock n' Roll Razorblade" and of course "Been There Before", my personal fav.
to continue with my point, with a song like been there before, it fits what its like to be a hanson fan that loves the music, "does it move you? does it soothe you? does it fill your heart & soul with the roots of rock and roll?". singing it back to them is like showing them this is what your music does for us.
this is one of the best parts about a hanson concert. yes, there's always the rude ones that talk and scream during unnecessary or important moments, but for a song like this- singing along shows our apprecitation for them. it gives me chills!
honestly I dont feel like hanson was that excited to see that soooo many people on trb knew the lyrics to their songs. I think trb was supposed to get them out there to other people and to get new people to hear them and maybe become fans, not for all of Hansons old fans who go watch every single concert. If you listen you hear taylor just stop singing. He doesnt look happily surprised. And you also hear Isaac say how do so many of you know the words. IDK maybe i am wrong
omg this is the part of the whole experience of being in a show and not just Hanson's. singing along with them it makes it all worth it.. if you want to hear only them you can litsen to your record at home!! i love it when the fans sing with them .. i do'nt like it if they're not.. it can get boring even for Hanson!
I go to concerts to hear the band and not the fans. It would be cool if it was one song once in a while, but Hanson encourages far too much sing-along.
I can see where you're coming from on that. I guess the way I feel, though, is that part of what makes a concert so special is that they're right there there, singing FOR the audience. So I think concerts are also the time when fans feel like they can give something back too, and share their appreciation. There's always the albums if we want to hear the music with no other sound, but at a concert, when they're playing a song everyone knows, singing back to them shows them we appreciate them :)
Now of course, if it's a NEW, or a RARE song that they're playing specifically as a treat because we haven't heard it before, THEN I want people to be quiet. Because if they're playing a special song that we don't know as a treat to us, I don't want people cheering during it or trying to sing along unless they ask for that.
But for a song like Been There Before.. we all KNOW it. We've heard it so many times, why not use the concert opportunity to SHOW them how much we love it, you know?
THIS is what makes Hanson shows so special- the fact that they can start playing a song and the audience knows it SO well that they could essentially sing the entire thing themselves. It's just.. incredible <3 And even more so because of the fact that it's not just this song- it's practically EVERY song they play that the audience can do that with! And it just gives me such chills to watch! Such a magical thing
aww i think that's the coolest thing in the world. that's why being a musicians would be awesome... having an audience that knows your songs as well as you do and having them take over :D
what exactly just happened here? I know the song.... didn't the audience sing the right part?

wow! best ever! first video of hanson that i've heard that the audience is singing...
for me the best concert is when the audience is singing the line of the songs and the artist appreciates it.

I find it hilarious how Tay accidentally started the song in a lower key and then later realized it...
