  • Space Blanket!!

  • My wife bought me that hammock for my birthday. Same color even. I've used at a lot with my military sleeping bag. It's great for warmer seasons.

  • just ordered one, is there any way to rig a tent-like cover to keep the elements off? other than the bug net and rain cover, worried about allergies lol

  • thanks man. great advice

  • you need to get the double person hammocks from eno the singles arent strong enuff

  • wow dude you have the same gear i buy

  • I also camp with a hammock shelter. YOu can see my shelter throughout my series "Guide to Urban Camping", playing now on my channel. keep up the good work!

  • One thing you have to remember is not all places allow you to set up a hammock in fear for the trees. Even though ENO's slap strap and slap strap pro are "tree safe" they still aren't allowed

  • Hey cool vid. I haven't got one of these but maybe you can tell me whether or not a fire bed setup would work with this hammock in a winter environment. You know, dig a hole, fill it up with charcoals and cover it with dirt again, Jeremiah Johnson style. Should keep you warm, and wouldn't catch a spark don't you think? Thanks

  • @Vandervalter19 , I used heated rocks, I'm sure a fire bed would work. Just make sure no embers are exposed.

  • at 2:10 you mention that you might switch the carabiners with lock ones... the carabiner will not open accidentally when you are in the hammock, and when you aren't in it as well. try sitting in it and unbuckle the carabiners... you can't

  • Hey man, When reviewing things like this it would be really helpful to know what your height and weight is just as a reference point for "me" the viewer

  • @jons4real , Eno, I believe, states that the hammock can take a 500 pound load, I'm 6 foot 3, and fit in it comfortably.

    - Adam

  • @Equip2Endure wow 6'3 and its comfortable... I would never of guess. I just hooked up the the hammock fourm and after talking to those guys I went for the double. They said I may get a flatter lay with it. I just ordered it today and cant wait to make a review for it. Rei has a big sale right now.

  • @Equip2Endure 400lbs I bought a single and a double nest weight 250 and 6' tall and the single sleeps really well. Not sur I will ever sleep on the ground again if i can help it.

  • Dude, the wicking water away with the 550 cord is a great idea! thanks

  • @jons4real Thanks!

  • do you know the maximum distance the 2 trees need to be to use this hammock? and is it possible to modify the hammock to get the 2 trees to be farther apart?

  • @AJAX7701 , Well you can make the distance as far as you want as long as you have enough cord, the longer it is though the more the hammock will sag, and that can cause back pain. The best rule of thumb is to stretch out your arms side to side, finger tip to finger tip is the same as your hight. Add a few inched each side and that is about the closest you want your trees to be, if you want to be able to extend all the way out.

    - Adam

  • @AJAX7701 depending on the slap straps that you use (that's ENO's webbing straps to secure the hammock to the tree) you can go use trees up to 20 feet apart...but as @Equip2Endure has said, the farther apart the trees are...the more the hammock sags

  • do you know the maximum distance the 2 trees need to be to use tis hammock? and is it possible to modify the hammock to get the 2 trees to be farther apart?

  • ENOs are straight up awesome! one to the best hammocks in the world. Great vid man!

  • Great review! I was thinking about getting the double nest Eno.

  • Yeah I may get a double as well for a little more room!

    - Adam

  • I don't think they make an underquilt for those though! Do they ? I already have some Hennessy Expedition Asyms but I wouldn't mind trying an open hammock as well since there real cheap !

  • great vid 5 for 5

  • Nice review.

  • Finally an excellent review of an ENO! I love mine, thanks for the upload!

  • Nice review.

    I have that same hammock.

ENO claims that it is rated to hold 400 lbs, but the provided steel clips stretched out on mine with only 250 lbs load.

I would recommend that you replace the factory clips for aluminum mountaineering carabiners.

  • Excellent! 5/5

  • as always, great stuff - very informative - even in the review you gave out good general hammock information.

  • Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the support. Take care,

    - Adam

  • I like it. I will have to get one. Would be great to keep in the jeep in a weeling trip -- can someone say afternoon nap???

  • I have a full size hammock in the backyard for the spring and summer, this little number is going to go with me everywhere, so much less energy to set up this shelter than anything else.

  • ★★★★★

  • Thanks, I appreciate the support.

    - Adam

  • if i got that, i could eliminate my sleeping bag and therma-pad for summer camping! i want one of these, online?

  • Amazon has some great prices for them, I can wait to use it this summer.

    - Adam

  • the hammock looks ok... how tall are you?

  • I'm 6 foot 3, the hammock is made for big guys, up to 400lbs weight limit... or so the box reads... may have to test that one!

    - Adam

  • tx, man.

  • Most welcome!

    - Adam
