Yes, missed very much. Her Queen of the Night was the standard for decades. A true professional, more interested in the music itself than drawing attention to herself.

N'oublions pas qu'un peu partout en Europe le diapason était nettement plus bas. C'est vrai que les parties écrites pour la Bordoni par Haendel sont assez basses et mal placées pour nos soprani et gagnent souvent à être chantées par des mezzos... De toutes façons, sauf découverte inattendue mais improbable, nous ne saurons jamais...

Il est extrêmement peu probable que cette cantate ait été écrite pour la Bordoni qui n'avait pas du tout la voix si aiguë. Le castrat Giovanni Bindi est un candidat plus plausible.
