If a fire ant stings you, you'd probably laugh at it. But if you're unaware and more and more climb up your leg one by one... you'll feel the painful difference. That's exactly how it works! By not voting it's just like a lazy ant that decided not to climb up the leg, and if all ants were that way... we could step on them all we want! Don't let them above step on you, and the rest around you.
So are you if you decide to vote. It is called democracy. And even if it does not work most of the time, you are yourself active in it as soon as your vote.
My point is that if you participate your in the league. Just like if you enlist for war(not drafted) then you share responsible for the outcome. Called personal responsibility. Something people have forget exist. Pick a candidate and you are to blame if he is a piece of $hit. I am so tired of citizens having forgot what representation is all about. Damn lazy apathic bastards are to blame for bad representation.
You realy need to study where Ron Paul is coming from. You think a guy that is in league with the Montana FREEMEN is a "normal politician"? His a revolutionary. And you just need to look at what his suggesting for five minutes to know this. Even if you are a socialist you can not ignore that this guy is different then the rest.
No pacifist ever stopped a genocide, defeated a tyrant or preserved freedom. Freedom only exits where evil men are confronted, defeated and kept at bay. Peace follows victory, not compromise with evil men, that only serves to enslave us all. Liberals have never contributed to preserving our freedoms, so they have no clue what it takes to earn it or to preserve it, they act with freedom in the same exact way Paris Hilton acts with money: they don't know where it comes from, they ignore its value.
Your "logic" is pathetic. No pacifist ever perpetrated a genocide, nor became a tyrant. You say "Liberals have never contributed to preserving our freedoms" as if no "liberal" has ever served in the armed forces or our government. You dishonor their sacrifices and your self with your politicization of patriotism.
Besides your homeboy Jericho was so embarrassed by my response to his idiot comment his account was closed the next day. Who ya gonna pitch for next, Cheney?
"No pacifist ever stopped a genocide, defeated a tyrant or preserved freedom."
Ever heard of a man named Gandhi?
You should read up on his life, its rather amazing what non-violence can accomplish versus the violence that we've been part of for these past years, which has really just accumulated more and more dead bodies.
sure, the rich can donate alot to their politician of choice, but 20 million middle class citizens donating 1 dollar each could definately help their candidate of choice. and ultimately we the ppl make the final decision by our vote. Now if this were a communist country then the video would make perfect case where ultimately it will make no difference what we do.
What is even more ludicrous is even if what he said was true, the US has the some the fattest, laziest and on average the wealthiest people on earth. Our standard of living is phenomenal considering its size.
For a supposedly screwed up system, we seem to be reaping a lot of benefits from it.
plummeting dollar value/escalating energy costs, terrorism, millions of uninsured, millions of unemployed, war, homeless war veterans, decaying infrastructure, pathetic educational system and (in your words) "some the fattest, laziest" and complacent people on earth. Have a nice time enjoying your "benefits"
I am enjoying them. Last time I checked we were the worlds only economic and military superpower.
You act as if we deserve more than being number 1. Of course this is the land of entitlement, it's only natural that we would want more. If you want to blame anything, our own greed is probably the biggest cause of most of our problems.
Go spend some time in another country then go tell me how bad we have it.
America the "military superpower" can't hold villages in Afghanistan because we don't have enough soldiers?
America the "economic superpower" with the devalued dollar, stock market down 15% this year and millions losing their homes or unemployed or both? That one?
Yeah! Number 1! Great... Keep polishing your illusions, kid! You can be John McCain's VP.
Our military is designed to defeat conventional armies, not nation building. This was a foriegn policy blunder by the current administration.
The dollar was overinflated to begin with because we werent exporting enough. Now that the dollar is cheaper, our goods can be more competitive in a global market, thereby increasing our exports. It's called market adjustment.
It's a lack of understanding of how the economy works that causes the paranoia you see riddled throughout youtube.

Hmmm, maybe you're right. I think I'll move to china... hmm but the citizens there can't even decide if they want to keep a child depending on its race, I'll pass. How bout Canada... they virtually have no military and their nationalized health care is in shambles. so I'll pass.. Mexico?.... i don't need to explain why not, do i? anywhere in Europe? nah, the illegal immigration there is devastating the entire continent. by 2020 Europe will be predominately muslim...
Actually I was just in Europe in 2006, and its beautiful there.. I might add that you're not made to feel like a number.. they truly know what life is all about.
As far as the USA being #1, you are sadly mistaken.. if you knew anything about life on a global level, you wouldn't have stated such silly comments.
I didn't get anything constructive out of that, dude. Of course there are differences. If Gore was in the White House you think we would have had a neo-con war cooked up by Bush's buds? Gore doesn't travel in those circles, right? America is not perfect and is not going to be perfect. All we can do is our best. It's an evolutionary process. Hopefully!
Oh and also, the description reads, "whoever wins, you loose" and it should be "lose" unless you mean we are more loose from the reaming that this video rapes us with.
This is stupid. Just because the world isn't the way you think it could be or should be, doesn't mean you have it figured out. If your conclusion and solution is that there is no point to trying to participate in any type of reform because things have ALWAYS been this way and forever will be, then you have absolutely no credibility because that is exactly what is not true. I'm very sorry that you don't get to have what you want but trying to taking us down with you, no thanks, moron.
Where did I say "there is no point to trying to participate in any type of reform because things have ALWAYS been this way and forever will be"? Please tell me... obviosuly you didn't listen very carefully and completely missed the point.
Thanks though for the insults, they make me feel good. I hope some day you are mature enough to articulate an disagreement based on facts.

Yep. Wars will continue, the ONLY way you can stop having so much crimes and wars get rid of all the immigrants like Canada and you wont hear about much crimes on TV nor will you get killed as you walk out the door. It's time to make the immigrants disappear!
Fact of the matter is, if you make more than 100,000 per year, vote Republican. If not, vote Democratic. Plain and simple. Whether or not you are with them on the social issues, that doesn't matter. But like you, I don't think it will be through the ballot. ALTHOUGH, I do believe there are some "evils" which are far less than others... so why not at least vote for that. Sorry but although this video makes some true statements, it is ultimately pointless.

It's all about the issues and a limited federal government:
Tenth Amendment of The United States Constitution-- Powers of states and people:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one! I'm getting so sick of hearing "market driven economy" and "adjusted for inflation" that I could puke! Why is there only a 7% difference in taxes between what I pay earning $50k/year and Bill Gates???
A greed driven economy is more like it. Trickle down my ass!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This is the stupidest video i've ever seen. You're pretty much telling people not to vote. I assume that the maker of this video is a pathetic low-life who can't lead a group of infants, much less a country, so they should shut up. You can't predict the future, there might me some democrat or republican that really turns this country in the right direction.
Please tell me where I said to not vote. Meanwhile your favorite videos are comprised of Kenny Chesney, top 10 super bowl commercials... and hot girls from south america. Way to contribute to democracy. It's pretty evident who the low life is. Yeah, based on the trash you watch I consider your a ranting a compliment.
You said that only the rich have a choice in who becomes the next president. You said that our opinions don't matter and that no matter who is elected, we'll have the same situation. So tell me, why should one vote?
Switch, I see you are 20. I'm 51 and I ASSURE you that you will think MUCH differently by the time you reach my age. I know this because, like every generation that starts out with some sense of idealism, you will grow older watching the same old shit recycled year after year and realize that INDEED, the rich and powerful set the agenda, and that they know that they can make the same promises to a new generation that they did the last, and the newbies will also fall for it.
While I admire the wisdom that I'm sure comes with age. I have to believe that the will of the American public is strong enough to drive it away from the ideals that have forced it's slow and steady downfall. It's a great balance in America though, the older folks have a sense of knowledge and wisdom, while the younger ones have drive and enthusiasm.
Agreed, older folks wisdom & knowledge, younger folks drive and enthusiasm. The problem, and this has been going on since time began, is that those very qualities tend to oppose each other in all practicality and thus a divide is created between the two groups. I hope you're right. But remember that The Who wrote "Won't Get Fooled Again" 40 years ago, and truer words have never been spoken...
It is a major problem. There's a lack of mutual respect between the generations. If we could all learn to trust each other with their strengths, then this country would be in far better shape. I believe in small government, and I think that's the first step that must be taken in giving this country back to the general public.
Yes, mutual respect. here's what I think the problem: When you get older, you acquire power. The youth are largely unorganized as a result of their minimal time on Earth TO organize, so they have less power. So, you have these various powerful, entrenched conglomerates of older folks who worked hard to get the power and don't want to give it up to young upstarts who generally know less.
This is at least in part a primal response to the days when the younger and stronger of the species DID vanquish the aged, became the leaders of the pack. But now, our big brains trump pure physical prowess, and we have a system of laws and such that protect the status quo, i.e., older folks grip on power and their right to set the agenda. For the older folks, it's about self-preservation, fear of death - both literally and metaphorically - and maintaining status-quo.
Also, because children and animals don't have money to set the political agenda and cannot vote, politicians and Big Business can ignore their needs (Why do you think education in this country is RAPIDLY deteriorating, as well as the health of our air, land and water?).
THE GOOD NEWS, is that BECAUSE the planet is quickly approaching it's limits to growth, because the status-quo is threatening our very existence, because global anarchy is visible on the horizon, these conditions may be FORCING humankind to take an evolutionary step in the right direction.
While modern man has shown a TON of contempt for his children (child slavery, millions dying of starvation and disease, massive debt inheritance, minimal education for all except those who can afford better, the inheritance of a dying planet, etc.), he is now seeing for the first time in his existence the very real possibility that his children will NOT survive the next few hundred years, at least, survival as we know it.
So, as a species, we are being faced with choices that are indeed critical evolutionary choices. And while the old may STILL not cede power or an equal share of it to the young, they MAY at least begin to factor in, in a very real way, the short and long-term health of the young as they make they're decisions and set their agendas.
The power of global Big Business may wane, the health of the Bottom Line may be replaced by spiritual and environmental well-being, and mankind may be willing to create a global system of commerce that allows for peace, tolerance, respect for borders, etc. And so on. BUT, I'm not holding my breath...
Meanwhile, America loses jobs, the Middle Class grows smaller and weaker, education becomes less accessible and more expensive, the lower classes fill up our overcrowding prisons and welfare lines, the military-industrial complex gets their wars and the billions that come with them, the Earth gets more polluted and eco-systems become gravely taxed...and the rich get richer. Open your eyes. Look around. You cannot argue with facts.
in what way is he weak? His goal is to win...he's not going to win if he runs as an independent. What is your opinion based on? I'm interested. I'm an Aussie so I cant vote next year. Our new govt. ratified the kyoto protocol. Will Hillary? Obama? Rudi?
Is that really honest though? After all, he did run for president back in '88 as a LIBERTARIAN. Hilary is worse, Obama hasn't shown any leadership ability, and Giuliani hasn't had the big game experience that many of the others have had. The only somewhat viable candidate that I see in this election is Mike Huckabee.
DID YOU KNOW? 91% of all millionaires in America started with NOTHING. IT's this pessimistic pity party, ooh loook out for Skull and Bones conspiracy SHIT that keeps a lot POOR folks down. Hitler was all about the "hey little guy, don't trust the Rich dude shit." Thus came the SS (National Socialist German Workers Party). D'ya know that?
So, what is your solution? For example, I have never heard anyone: rich, poor, black, or white say that they would be willing to pay higher taxes to provide more for the poor, or even the middle class. Also, don't you think the middle class grew under Bill Clinton?
Enough money to start the race, but not enough to finish. Money and power corrupt. No money, no power. No power, no money. This is the American way.....for the rich and powerful.
I LOLed at "troop deployments" in Afghanistan by Obama.

I choose to believe that I am empowered. You choose to believe that you are impotent. Chances are, we're both right.

Correction: You think that I choose to believe that I am impotent. I know I am empowered- I am acting and speaking. What are you doing?

This comment has received too many negative votes show
This is the stupidest video i've ever seen. You're pretty much telling people not to vote. I assume that the maker of this video is a pathetic low-life who can't lead a group of infants, much less a country, so they should shut up. You can't predict the future, there might me some democrat or republican that really turns this country in the right direction.
switchfootrelientk 4 years ago
Please tell me where I said to not vote. Meanwhile your favorite videos are comprised of Kenny Chesney, top 10 super bowl commercials... and hot girls from south america. Way to contribute to democracy. It's pretty evident who the low life is. Yeah, based on the trash you watch I consider your a ranting a compliment.

You said that only the rich have a choice in who becomes the next president. You said that our opinions don't matter and that no matter who is elected, we'll have the same situation. So tell me, why should one vote?
switchfootrelientk 4 years ago

It's a great balance in America though, the older folks have a sense of knowledge and wisdom, while the younger ones have drive and enthusiasm.
switchfootrelientk 4 years ago
Agreed, older folks wisdom & knowledge, younger folks drive and enthusiasm. The problem, and this has been going on since time began, is that those very qualities tend to oppose each other in all practicality and thus a divide is created between the two groups. I hope you're right. But remember that The Who wrote "Won't Get Fooled Again" 40 years ago, and truer words have never been spoken...
ejb4501 4 years ago
It is a major problem. There's a lack of mutual respect between the generations. If we could all learn to trust each other with their strengths, then this country would be in far better shape. I believe in small government, and I think that's the first step that must be taken in giving this country back to the general public.
switchfootrelientk 4 years ago
Yes, mutual respect. here's what I think the problem: When you get older, you acquire power. The youth are largely unorganized as a result of their minimal time on Earth TO organize, so they have less power. So, you have these various powerful, entrenched conglomerates of older folks who worked hard to get the power and don't want to give it up to young upstarts who generally know less.
ejb4501 4 years ago
This is at least in part a primal response to the days when the younger and stronger of the species DID vanquish the aged, became the leaders of the pack. But now, our big brains trump pure physical prowess, and we have a system of laws and such that protect the status quo, i.e., older folks grip on power and their right to set the agenda. For the older folks, it's about self-preservation, fear of death - both literally and metaphorically - and maintaining status-quo.
ejb4501 4 years ago
Also, because children and animals don't have money to set the political agenda and cannot vote, politicians and Big Business can ignore their needs (Why do you think education in this country is RAPIDLY deteriorating, as well as the health of our air, land and water?).
ejb4501 4 years ago
THE GOOD NEWS, is that BECAUSE the planet is quickly approaching it's limits to growth, because the status-quo is threatening our very existence, because global anarchy is visible on the horizon, these conditions may be FORCING humankind to take an evolutionary step in the right direction.
ejb4501 4 years ago
While modern man has shown a TON of contempt for his children (child slavery, millions dying of starvation and disease, massive debt inheritance, minimal education for all except those who can afford better, the inheritance of a dying planet, etc.), he is now seeing for the first time in his existence the very real possibility that his children will NOT survive the next few hundred years, at least, survival as we know it.
ejb4501 4 years ago
So, as a species, we are being faced with choices that are indeed critical evolutionary choices. And while the old may STILL not cede power or an equal share of it to the young, they MAY at least begin to factor in, in a very real way, the short and long-term health of the young as they make they're decisions and set their agendas.
ejb4501 4 years ago

You're forgetting one thing - Dr. Ron PAUL!
He has the cure. We will play by the rules just to see what happens.
If Ron Paul fails - then the gloves are OFF!

Ron Paul is a weak candidate. He should've just been honest and ran as an independent.
switchfootrelientk 4 years ago
in what way is he weak? His goal is to win...he's not going to win if he runs as an independent. What is your opinion based on? I'm interested. I'm an Aussie so I cant vote next year. Our new govt. ratified the kyoto protocol. Will Hillary? Obama? Rudi?
jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjo 4 years ago

Ron Paul is different. I believe.

Enough money to start the race, but not enough to finish. Money and power corrupt. No money, no power. No power, no money. This is the American way.....for the rich and powerful.
