@medmai 2011 welser-möst i would rank in the last position only ahead of barenboim, which was the worst ever. 2012 jansons has to be ranked third best, just after pretre's 2010 and 2008.

I thought I saw my cousin in the violin section 0:24 on the far left.( Wiener Philharmonik)

Oh God! I love this uverture! It's gentle poetry and sparkle,it's nuances. I heard once some modern music snob say that Strauss music is too simple. I couldn't help but laugh.
