  • Hahaha, New Haven CT somehow turned into an example of drug abuse?

  • Legalize drugs , regulate them, problem solved! What is stopping it???

  • Idiots in congress and those idiotic interest groups who wield a huge influence over politics and even the people.

  • Ughh I honestly think people need to stop hating on gays....It's almost like America is secretly gay but in denial and is angry about it....we live in a weird country

  • Why don't the politicians have any common sense. Oh yeah, they r too busy worrying about how much their stocks will be worth after the next vote. Public safety? Will of the people? Yeah,right.......................

  • i wonder if any current reporter would have the guts to do a report like this. then who would air it?

  • Ashakat42 ... John Stossel did a report on the War on Drugs and open calls for its end.

If you Google "John Stossel drug war" you can find his blog, which has a specific Drug War category, where he repeatedly updates viewers on the status, successes, and failures of US drug policy.

  • So, can Diabetics get free needles, too?

  • Why? Diabetics don't spred aids.

  • They might if they can't afford needles.

  • Poiticans SUCK!!!!!!!!!

  • He presented the other side by quoting the statistics on the lack of effectiveness from our current drug policy. He's exploring methods of change and thus the "other side" you are bitching about is the current system that is failing the users and making victims of them and the taxpayers. Open your f***ng head.

  • I don't know about you guys, but I am an ex-junky from Miami. And if you seen humans sharing needles one after the other one, maybe 10 people before they needle becomes useless. The same needle. Then you know what this is all about.

  • Good point. If the needle exchange were legal the kid in the video might not have got aids and his mother may not have died.

  • @nickybadboy50 Hey man, I know you and I had our differences, All I want to say to you is that I'm really sorry for all the name calling! I just hope you find it in your heart to forgive. Please thats all I'm asking of you. There is no use in fighting I just want to be friends. I'll remove the block.

  • @Realdeal232005 - No problem brother. We're cool.

  • @nickybadboy50 I removed the block, my pc crashed. I'll have accept you later. Thanks

  • @nickybadboy50 can you remove the block?

  • When I'm not presented with any facts or rebuttal from the 'other' side and I'm primarily presented with isolated stories that are decidely heartwrenching - I'm not sure I can call that journalism.

  • Yeah that Walter Cronkite what the hell does he know about journalism anyway?!

  • Sure it's journalism. It's an op-ed piece. There's nothing against a journalist presenting his opinion and making a case for sommething, as long as he doesn't disguise it. If you want the other side in this debate, there's no shortage of that going around.

  • Primarily that's because the other side says "drugs are bad, mkay..." look up LEAP , Law Enforcement Against Prohibition... there are hundreds of cops including ex police chiefs who think the drug war is stupid.

  • Sure man. All you have to do is look at the facts yourself. They speak wonders as to how ridiculous this "war" is. What is our countries fascination with war anyways?

  • All of the arguments on the "other" side are perpetuated by the war on drugs to begin with.

  • aren't we already aware of the view points of the "other side"??

  • He is stating facts.
