  • dude the music in the 80 was better than now!!

  • @JMR83 > i don't like to explain, but I will...

it is meant to be sarcastic!!

you know; everything "80's" is being recycled into shitty pop nowadays...(the last 10 years!) and it just made me a bit sick of it.. so i wrote this "anti-anti" sone.. with a nudge and a wink..

listen again, and hopefully you'll see the humor AND respect we have, especially for bands like the ones we mention in the tune...

  • @strfckrtheband sorry, not the last 10 years... It has only been around since 2005. Before that was based on the 70s!!!

Source: I am 47 years old.

  • What a pile of tuneless shite. You need to think long and hard before having a go at The Clash or Eurythmics or UB40 considering how untalented you are.

  • @JMR83 don't you realise his song is got that 80s tune! Especially early eighties (from the time of Devo and New Wave sounds) before you mummy was born!

  • 90's is better as well!!!

  • :D vet man

  • I hate the 80s too! Good song! KEEEP IT UP, take it to the charts!

  • @SandraLondon63

I hate YOU too. 80s was fun and you are obviously very boring and full of hypocritical shite. I see you have a Knaye West video that has a very 80s electronic beat to it. You are full of self-contradicitng nonsense. Bet you're ugly too.

  • @JMR83 ya, you are right about the Kanye West video. I see you know your stuff... The only reason I put it there is because I was commissioned and paid to create that shit. I don't like Kanye. I like 50.

I hate the 80s! Especially the women's hairstyle! Love hip hop and millenium stuff (not the latest music since it has a lot of 80s in it . as you pointed out)

  • @JMR83 Since 2007, we had some 80s revival, so the good news are that it won't last much longer! Hooray!!!

  • @SandraLondon63

"Since 2007, we had some 80s revival"? Elements of the revival have been around more like since 2004 thanks to bands like The Killers, La Roux and Nelly Furtado's "Loose" album and some of Shakira's She Wolf stuff and the new hits from Editors and Snow Patrol.

Who the fucking hell are you to say it will not last? Especially if you like a helluva lot of boring generic R&B like Ashanti.

  • @JMR83 the people you mentioned started in the music business in the late 2000's, with the exception of Shakira (who used to be different anyway and not 80s at all in the early 2000s). 2004 was VERY HIP HOP!!! I go clubbing and have friends in the music and fashion industry and I know.

Everything comes to an end. The 80s, vibe and influence is getting old now (having been here since late 2005 and more popular since 2007). La Roux was not popular outside the UK.

    How old are ya?

  • @SandraLondon63 Erm, the people I mentioned started 2004 at the latest, just look em up on Wikipedia. La Roux's Bulletproof has hit charts outside the UK in fact. While bland indie guitar dross like Stereophonics have not. And I have travelled around. And as for your hip hop adoration can't you remember that hip hop began in the 80s? And was so great then with Grandmaster Flash, RUN DMC etc.

You go clubbing? Wow! So do I.

Now just take away your biased loathing and piss off.

  • @JMR83, the first time that I have ever heard Bulletproof was in the summer of 2009 when it reached the tops here in the UK. You also need to read that Wikipedia page again, which clearly says that La Roux's debut single, "Quicksand", was released by French independent record label Kitsuné Music in December 2008.

Well, Run DMC, were a different kind of 80s, but Hip Hop improved so much in the 90s and early 2000s... I guess is a matter of taste.

  • @SandraLondon63 Everything comes to an end? But comes back again and ends again, duh.

So what if Shakira used to be different before, the fact she used 80s electro/disco influences recently shows the enduring appeal of the sounds.

I know you are biased in your one-sided hatred of such a fun and exciting time so don't bother trying to come back with lame arguments. Just remember a lot of hip hop owes it to old skool 80s hip hop and electro. I don't care if you have friends in music biz.

  • @JMR83 when 80s revival will die (by 2012 the most), you will have to wait another 20 years before it comes back.

    Source: Experience.

  • @JMR83 yeah, I don't dispute that the years 2007 to now have been influenced by 80s music, and fashion (just a little). But it is comin to an end boy.

  • @SandraLondon63 Stop calling me boy, for fucks sake. I'm not your child.

  • @JMR83 "boring". You need to tune your ears boy...

Great soulful voices and changing notes to include "C" mayor keys are not boring. Mediocre, badly musically educated electronic sounds and mediocre voices with auto tune are.

  • @SandraLondon63 I really don't care. I have always liked to be open to all musical sounds but it's the SNOBS like yourself that put me right off.

  • @JMR83 yeah, but enjoy the 80s while they last. Fashion and music trends travel as fast as light speed. Remember the 80s shoulder pads of last year? Well, they are ridiculous this year and electronica is soon comin to an end (this is known among music cicles). Never liked the 80s even when I was a teen during that time. When you are younger (such as in your case) it is very easy to romanticized eras. The 70s were rebellious and really kicked ass. I was 16 in 1980s and didnt' like the change.

  • @SandraLondon63 sorry meant to say circles... typo..

  • @SandraLondon63 I didn't even notice shoulder pads being that big last year. I was a kid in the 90s and got sick of it in about 1995 when the bloody Britpop and lame bands like Blur and Pulp were put on pedestals. And how on earth is it "known" among your "friends in music circles" that electronica is coming to an end? Apparently in another video thread you classed Alicia Keys (who I do love) as hip hop? WTF? R&B yes but not hip hop. You are full of pretentious bullcrap.

  • @JMR83 Since 2007, we had some 80s revival, so the good news are that it won't last much longer! Hooray!!!

  • tera melos

  • the 70s were WAY cooler!!!!

  • DEFINITELY, the 70s were pretty cool but the 80s were the opposite!

  • Catchy tune - cute lyrics. Shame the video is a bit wonky

  • a bit dodgy that vid

  • eventhough I don't like this sort of music,. I think its a cool song,..
