  • this drink anything that exciting and I just learned to swim alos that 18 .. xD

  • I guess babies have a natural instinct...which i don't:(

  • @BumbleBeat21 You doo! :) everyone does

  • I was in these classes when I was a baby, and i could swim at age 4. I LOVE the water and it's very eay for me to overcome tides or a strong current, to hold my breath and not to panic. This is a GREAT idea, and you NEEDto do it for your children.

  • My daughter is now 39 and I took her to a Water Baby class at the Y when she was less than 1 yr. old. She loved the water and it was something I would do again. She learned to swim at a very young age and never used swimmies or special floating devices when in a pool or at the lake. I always kept a close eye on her but never had to worry about her.

  • be careful beacuase, to much water, can ruin vission, especialy developing infants

  • @elenavlada bahahah no way

  • @xBeautilicious yes, this is what the olypic divers in china are eperiencing....their cornea is ruined due to agressive trainning since of a young age

  • @elenavlada i know people who dive since babies and their vision is better than mine

  • You stupid people babies we I'm side of you for fucken 9 months and they are still alive this is something like that the only fucken difference is the you are holding the baby didn't you listen to what they were saying I guess not stupid read and make a research of this so you can learn more because you are talking out of your ass the babies looked happy in the video and the were not allow.

  • I know it's safe and everything, I would just be so freaked out about just trusting that my baby will "know" how to hold her breath automatically... lol it's probably a good thing I don't have kids yet. I'd be a nervous wreck!

  • That will teach them how to swim.

  • Yeah! Throw ur baby!

  • Maaan! im 22yrs old....If i even attempt to dive in a pool, ocean or etc i will Die! Point blank!

  • awesome and good

  • I waited to teach my son to swim until he was old enough to understand what we were doing and he doesn't love the water like my daughter who starting learning how to swim at 6 months does so I say start early before they learn to be scared

  • 0:52 seriously does she think the baby understands her?

  • @Sungminieeee They do

  • @Sungminieeee Yes, the baby does, becasue obviously all babies love it =]

  • the best way 2 teach ur baby hw 2 swim......

  • where i can take my baby to learn how to swim .She's 13 months. we r living in Austin ,TX .thanks

  • Don't try this with your kids

    hahaha

  • this is amazing. my daughter is 7 months, and i was wondering if getting her under water in a public pool, (which has ALOT of chlorine) is bad for her.

  • i think its a great idea, as long as the waters not too cold =)

  • wow water babies!

  • 11111111111111

  • i cant swim and I am 29

  • que pena

  • MAN IM 13 AND STILL CAN'T SWIM!!!

  • @AgentFarhan016

We grow up and consciously think about swimming we worry too much about this and that. You can swim, just take your time. Practice at the side, then just ;et yourself take your own time

  • @AgentFarhan016 lol i dint learn until i was 4

  • @AgentFarhan016 Don't feel bad...I can't swim and my 12- soon to be 13 year old sis can't swim. xD

  • little babies smarter then ever

  • Wow! Baby Swimming is also a Melee sport from the Melee China games.

  • DRY DROWNING folks. Don't do dunking your kids like donuts unless you're prepared to watch them while they sleep all night.

  • i think it is wrong to put NEWBORNS in water the twirling and dipping underwater could break their necks as they arent strong even if the mother is supporting the neck

  • @TheBratzAttack I doubt ... if a baby can survive birth without breaking it's neck this is harmless ...

  • besides when baby's are in the womb what are they surrounded in a substance thats liquid right? lol

  • some of them look like they might drown.

  • I think the parents should be watching their babies and maybe they wouldnt drown

  • anything can happen..... why not be prepared. what if someone else was watching their baby and turned their backs for just a single second. thats all it takes.

  • Make that comment without showing your face. I vote you to be the one to tell every parent what they did wrong and how its their fault their child drown. Lets see how far you get.

  • lmfaooooo at the ending

    SUPERMAN!

  • For outdoor swimming pools is not that big problem because they use chemicals which are dissolved by interaction with sunlight . One of the best services i had was in Taipei - private hotel indoor swimming pool . they stop pool useage every 2 hours for 15 minutes chemical cleaning by electricity application to the water . .... if you have further or more specific questions , i will be more than glad to share personal experiance .

  • @kalin333 just one question how old should your bay be before you take them swimming and should you put them under water right away or wait awhile so they dont panic

  • From my personal experiance you should trust your smell sense and if it you feel the environment is not right than you avoid it .

The other key factor is that swimming pools which have cleaning chemicals which are dissolved by electricity applied in the swimming pool (of course , no swimming during that process is allowed). The latest i have experienced they dissolve the chemicals in a slow way.12 hours procedure. which is supposed to give the best result ( this is for indoor swimming pool )

  • Don't the pool chemicals harm the babies..?

  • yes ! they do . very good question . so you have to do your chemistry in advance . unfortunately not all of us a chemistry scientist ( neither me ) . On top of chemistry you need to know biology in a way to know how human skin interacts with different chemicals used for cleaning swimming pools .

  • because answering your question in reply section is limited to the number of characters ... please continue reading my suggestions in the section bellow ........ in the comments section ............

  • its so cute how they come back up and hold the pool edge:)

  • My little boy is 6months old and on his 5th lesson!! He loves it, he smiles as soon as we walk up to the pool and spends the whole lesson splashing and laughing (I sware he thinks I'm not soaked enough!) He's been doing underwater exercises since lesson one and although it scared me a little he thought it was hillarious!! :)

My little boy's the eldest in his class, and the youngest was only 8weeks old at the first lesson!! :) It is absolutely brilliant and well worth the money!

  • do they hav to hold their breathe? if not y?

  • It's part of their gag reflex that stops them from breathing as they go under, but like you and me it's basicly instinct that tells you not to breathe whilst submerged! :)

  • Do they know how to hold their breath? They might die.. don't they?!

  • it is a natural reflex , they (the babies ) don't need to hold theire breath !

  • This is absolutely incredible and one of the most vital life skills to teach your children. I am a strong swimmer and have no fear of the water whatsoever and would like my baby to be the same. I am now 14 weeks pregnant and somewhere local to go for this would be ideal once the baby is born.

  • Hey Lauren,

I've taught swimming for 6 years and a portion of those lessons were with parents and their infants. I study early childhood education as well.

You can easily teach your new born child to swim without instruction. Ignore the fear you have of harming your child and take the swimming. Submerge them, let them swim unassisted, do back floats with their head resting on your shoulder, etc..

  • After about one month your child will develop the natural reflex to swim and "make well-coordinated swimming movements."

If you have any questions feel free to ask. It's great that you're looking into this stuff before you have your child. Good luck!

  • im to scard that they die

  • but just think we always wanna protect them btu with this theyll be alot safer and ull prolly worry less too

  • I think they are taking it a bit too fast... cause most of the time I see the people throwing the babies in the water.

  • this is really helpful..and not to worry for babies who are a few weeks old...because even if they get submerged underwater for several seconds or a minute..they could survive because of the diving reflex..and the explaination about it is that- babies still have this unconscious part of them to be able to survive underwater because during the time that they were still living in their mother's womb where it is filled with fluid inside...

  • Yeah, but they had the umbilical cord then, lol.

  • i know, but the fact that they've been inside the bag of water

  • I'm just messin' with ya. ;)

  • I'm 25 and can not swim. =(

  • Always essential to teach children to swim. The earlier the better. It tragic but true. Children die every year from drowning because of panic. I'm grateful my father had the foresight to get my brother and I swimming lessons at an early age.

  • I take my little girl to waterbabies, she loves it! Its not cheap but I would spend my last penny to do these lessons, I would reccomend it to anyone.

people who are negative about it are ignorant or jelous.

  • im a 14 year old baby n i still cant do dat !!

  • lol cool!!

  • Well, that only makes sense to teach babies how to swim when they are babies. This is the best age to teach them. They are new into the world and experiences water in the womb.

  • soooo cute!!! i luv the babies i have a 5year old baby cuzin and she cannot do that!!

  • honey if your cuzins 5 then she's not a baby I'm sorry

  • That is a great program!!! I hope that when i have a kid someday that i follow this program... its amazing how much kids learn! we really neglect that fact!

    I am amazed!!

  • amazing!! :D

  • lol it sounds like they are being trained to be top secret agents

"teaches babies to have a stronger heart, improved agility and coordination and mental alertness"

  • i learnt to swim in a program like this when i was 3 weeks old

  • Wow I got scare at 1:05! lolz They look like they are having fun :p so cute

  • Aww.. I think it is good that they are learning at such a young age. But I'm not so sure I would want to throw my baby in the water like they are doing. Maybe when they are almost a year or so I would do that. But I think it is great. I just bought a baby swim suit for my brother's friend's baby, it is so cute! A blue swim diaper and a blue swim tee with a little shark on it.. and also some really small sunglasses with a strap that he could wear.. so cute.. I know he will like it :)

  • My Daughter was in a class like this before we moved. It is so scary the fisrt few times you dunk your baby under. It's actually easier the younger they are though. It's an awesome thing.

  • LOL 0:54 this kid looks like YODA xD

    same eyes

  • they absolutely love the water and taking them swimming young is so exciting! My son can swim by himself in armbands and hes only nearly 3!! I took him early too!

  • LMAO @ 2:13 "You take it".

  • My baby is 5 month and started his swim classes. It is amazing to look them swim, he is so happy and love to splash.

  • As a swimming teacher, I love this! If only more parents were concerned with their child's safety in water. The only thing I would say is that I would strongly recommend not taking your baby swimming until they have had their jabs.

  • Hello, I was wondering what you meant by the word "jabs?"

    Best, Brandt

  • I believe "jabs" is the English way of saying shots or inoculations.

  • Oh, yes. Thank you very much.

  • Thank you for the clarification. I thought he was talking about punching your kid in the face. O___o

  • Sorry, but that's very old advice! :-) The current recommendations say that you can take a baby of any age to a public pool (just make sure they don't get chilled). The thing about waiting for the vaccinations dates back to when Polio was thought to be spread at public pools, many decades ago.

  • elliekat73 you are right & I stand corrected!

I was unaware of the change in recommendations however as a new mother I now know the new advice! Definitely was not advocating punching your child in the face! :o)

  • 43 lol

  • man that must be verry fun i want to be a baby now !!!

  • These are just some concerns I have. If these concerns can be cleared up, I would be very happy and would love to teach my babies to swim!

    Any answers?

    Thanks!! =)

  • I don't wear goggles when swimming.

I think your concerns are valid, but overall quite small when compared to the thousands of deaths that occur from drowining every year.

  • i can try to answer any of your questions , either in writing or via [ Skype ] ... my skype is related to my : [ Youtube ] .

  • OK, my son is 17 months and just finished the ISR training.Goggles change the way we see underwater, so if your baby falls into a body of H2O they need to know how to open their eyes to find a way out...IF they are old enough to actually do the swim part. Many young babies only start w/ floating, because of breath control.AND they should have ears checked out, mine did,and were fine.Hopefully the pools clorine is monitered, but definatly check the record of the pool if you are concerned.

  • Also, if you throw a baby in the water like that...wouldn't they gulp down heaps of swimming water and some could go into their nose and even might not be good for their eyes? Shouldn't they wear goggles like adults do? Also, wouldn't the extensive levels of Chlorine in the swimming pool be dangerous for the baby's delicate, sensitive skin?

  • no, babies have a "dive reflex", where they automatically hold their breath when submerged. This is what the first few lessons are all about, helping the baby with their dive reflex.

  • Just to make it clear, the babies are gently guided into the h2o so they can't hit their heads, but NOT until they have control over their breath and will not gulp any h2o. NOBODY just tossed my baby into the h2o. Besides, I have family and friends w/ pools and hottubs, supervision is ####1, but if you aren't there, how do you know they get 100% supervision??This is just 1 more chance for the baby.

  • Only one thing I'm concerned about is, wouldn't it be dangerous for babies as they can get ear infections from swimming? Sometimes adults can get them too.

  • yes, but it is better for a baby to get an ear infectiont han to drown from swimming.

Also, ear plugs can help with that.

  • This is so great! I love babies, they are sooo adorable. I would love to teach my future baby how to swim! I love swimming myself. =)

  • haha thats wicked cute

  • babys love water ... you have to experiance it yourself . it is an ongoing experiance atleast for me ! my baby boy is 35 months and we go swimming since he fas 4 months old ... it is great joy everytime we go to the swimming pool or to the sea ;-) , unfortunately an personal experiance can not be substituted even with thousand words or a very detailed video like this one ! your opinion is only the one of an bystander ;-) , come on ! get on in the water and lets talk than !

  • omg...when i grow up and have kids they are doing this!!!

  • My friend lost a grandchild by drowning in the pool. If only courses were mandatory so many children would be saved. Wonderful video.

  • I feel the same way, we just found out our son has autism. 3 children with autism have died already in the past 2 months from drowning. :o(
