Guys, it's a Mock Draft. This was done before the draft occured. They weren't bad projections either, but like every other Mock Draft, surprises occured. Remember....Darrius Heyward Bey...LMAO!
i agree with most but the ohio state picks...i am a bucks fan but i dont think they will go that high...And the broncos definetly wont get beanie at 12 because they just buckhaulter ,J.J arrington, and lamont jordan... they will probly go D-line...GO BUCKS
Sanchez should go before Stafford. I really don't think the Lions are going to go with STAFFORD, because he is going to be a serious BUST with the LION'S. He might pan out after traded to another team, but I don't think he is the answer. Too many problems right now to worry about getting a QB. Wait to next year LION, get some real QB's! McCoy, BRADFORD,SNEAD, CLAUSEN, MUSTAIN ha loaded!
why is everyone pickign the overrated matt stafford at NO. 1 if they do it will be a bad choice id rather have mark sanchez he is an overall better QB no im not a usc fan the only thing is that he only played in 16 games
Being a Rams fan, I like the Eugene Monroe pick. Right now, it appears to be between Aaron Curry, Jason Smith, and Eugene Monroe. We need alot of help at both positions, but in the end I think it will come down to one of the tackles. Right now, Monroe is more polished and could make an immediate impact, but Jason Smith has more upside and is a better run blocker. We will see how it goes.
I agree with broncosfan99..lol..why would they pick up a running back. B.J. Raji would be a great pick to stop the run or even Tyson Jackson. Go Broncos!
it sounds right exept for arakpo chargers gonna get him mi teem gonna get him and we gonna beat the "super bowl bound jaguars" the rack is bak yee boy
Lions-Jason Smith Rams -Eugene Monroe Cheifs-Aaron Curry Seahawks-BJ Raji Browns-Brian Orakpo Bengals-Crabtree Raiders-Maclin Jags-Stafford Packers-Malcolm Jenkins Niners-Everette Brown Bills-Tyson Jackson Broncos-Rey Maualuga Skins-Andre Smith
My Top 10 1 Matt Stafford (Lions) 2 Jason Smith (Rams) 3 Aaron Curry (Cheifs) 4 Eugene Monroe (Seahawks) 5 Brian Orakpo (Browns) 6 Bj Raji (Bengals) 7 Jeremy Maclin (Raiders) 8 Michael Crabtree (Jaguars) 9 Everette Brown (Packers) 10 Mark Sanchez (49ers)
Not to mention they have holes in their front seven, and switching to a three-four, they need an anchor at NT (Raji) , bigger ends (Tyson Jackson), or any of the USC linebackers. Everette Brown makes 0 sense. Holes on the roster: offensive tackle, defevensive end, safety, middle linebacker, and depth at runnign back, in that order. Everette brown's speed and size are either going to make him a 4-3 end, or an outside linebacker in a 3-4. The Chargers play a 3-4. They have outside linebackers.
Crabtree to Seattle when they signed T.J. Houshmandzadeh this offseason? I thought Pettigrew was a good idea, haven't thought of it. A good tightend is a great idea with a maturing quarterback and T.O. to stretch the field. But Wells to the Broncos? The Broncos signged Arrington and Buckhalter this offseason, i really doubt they would select a running back, at least not in the first round.
curry the best player in the draft in my books but they only had 10 sacks as a team :( and they signed mike vebral i don't see why curry would be a better pick then Orakbo
I just hope my team, the Chargers, gets Rey before anyone else does. To be quite honest, though I consider taking James as a second option for ILB, I probably wouldn't take him, looking at him and his defense's performances during the past 3 years, especially during their past 3 BCS bowl games when their defense just broke down. I think if the Chargers took him, James would just become another shitty Matt Wilhelm, especially not stopping the run or bringing pressure up the middle.
if the chargers get lauranitis, im gonna be dissapointed. at 16 i think we could get maualuga. he might go to denver or new orleans first though. if he isnt available, i think patrick chung is a very safe pick and then we can maybe trade to get brandon spikes in the 2nd round.
Chung is actually one of the safeties I considered. The other option is Clay Matthews. And don't you agree about what I said about James? Especially in those past 3 BCS games, and that game against USC? That should tell you something. Besides, he is more of a pass coverage type and not producing pressure up the middle like Rey does. Also, FYI, Spikes is playing in Florida this year.
Rey would be a much better pick than James. The thing about James is that he doesnt have a style. He doesnt stand out in a specific way that makes me think of him as a great NFL player. Rey is a super aggresive and body throwing style linebacker. He plays in the same pursuing style that Polamalu does but at the linebacker position. James doesnt have any of that really. He is just a fundamentally sound and technical linebacker. He is a safe pick, but the pros to getting him arent that great.
i hope the lions go with jason smith, i dont think stafford is very convincing, certainly not enough to be number 1 pick. far more worthwhile to get smith, or curry. smith and curry are both gonna be very good players in the nfl. with #20 pick i wish maualuga would drop to them, but i dont see him making it past sd at 16. in 2nd round i would like to see them take freeman and then concentrate on trying to get some more defensive players from then on, but not much will come from rd 3 down
ye jags need a good wr but also need a o-line, i think jeremy maclin will be good at jacksoville and if andre smith available we should get him haha but jags better do good this year,
Not bad work, just a couple things. I don't see Denver taking Beanie. I think they'll look defense with the pick plus they're looking at Buckhalter and Arrington in free agency. One other thing, Michael Oher is a LT, not a guard. Nice work on this though.
Im a jags fan too but offense line is a stronger need I think we will get andre smith or defensive tackle bj raji but we do need a wide receiver I think will get one in the second round.
As a Charger fan, I doubt we'll be picking Brown @ 16. Even if Olshansky leaves in FA, we already have 2 solid DEs ready to start in his place (Bingham/Cesaire) We could always pick up another DE for depth in the later rounds. We need to go either OL or DL in the 1st, cause both of our lines have been clearly inconsistent! Even another trade into the 2nd rd should be an option this year, then hopefully we could land Ron Brace as our NT of the future since Raji will be long gone in the 1st!
Did I miss something? Where's BJ Raji on this list? No way will he be slipping past the first 16 picks! Unless he slips past the top 5, watch the Lions pick him @ #1, lol. They need a QB & OL more than anything, but if Raji's there @ #1, they'll get him, cause I doubt they'll want to face him twice a year if he falls to Green Bay @ #9! And with Shaun Cody leaving in FA, they'll need to plug in another DT.
I'd really like the Redskins to pick people like Oher, Max Unger (#1 center), with their first pick, then Darrius Heyward-Bey with the second pick. Or first pick if neccessary...
broncos have like 20 running backs lol we arent gonna get one early in the draft. maybe later, but our first pick is definately going for defense like hopefully maualuga. ryan torain, peyton hillis, and possibly pittman or selvin young will be our most likely backs
Great list, I noticed that a lot of people are saying the Raiders are taking Jeremy Maclin over a tackle, but I don't think so. Davis and Cable like the promise in Schilling and Higgins. well l ike a said great list.
I don't see how Hillis is not reliable. Can you back it up with proof? The Broncos' plug and run system has worked for years, and asking it to work for one more year to fix a "no-show" defense is not too much to ask.
Nice vid....but I don't see my Broncos taking Beanie Wells even though he's nice. It's DEFENSE, DEFENSE, and more DEFENSE is what they need!! Perhaps BJ Raji or Rey Maualuga. They may even look at DE Everette Brown.
very nice i agree beanie is nice but we need DEFENSE DEFENSE, guess what more DEFENSE, oh and more DEFENSE..i see us taking Rey or Raji if there still on the board. If not trade down and get more picks. we can use as many as possible..
Aaron Curry, OLB, Wake Forest is the best player in the draft. Mark my words. Detroit should explore trading down..If not, pick Curry at #1 then go for another LB like Cushing from USC, Laurenitis from Ohio State, WR Percy Harvin from Florida, CB Alfonso Smith from you guess what Wake Forest
even though i know the lions will pick another QB they shouldn't, look what happened to joey harrington. they should get some offensive line and defensive players. and maybe in a few years get a QB and they'll have a team built around him
We need a RB but we need defense more, since were going to run the 3-4 next year, were going to move Jenkins to NT and If we draft Orakpo put him at RE
