I believe Golota said after this fight that Bowe hit him low in Round 9 (which he did) and that made him lose control and fire those really low blows that got him disqualified. But that low blow by Bowe was only one punch and it hit Golota like on the hip, not on the balls. No justification for what Golota did. His excuse is comparable to Tyson's weak excuse for biting Holyfield's ear (i.e. "he head-butted me").

@EvanderHolyfield7 Golota entered the ring cold, nervous and gun shy. Only an idiot would think he gave Lewis his best. Didnt you notice Golota wasnt even throwing any punches against Lewis? Compare to the Golota who came out jabbing beautifully against Bowe. I'm not saying Golota would have beatin' Lewis. Golota had mental problems and would sometimes show up to fights mentally unprepared.
