  • Best song for sure

  • man what a moog synth can do.

  • Is it me or does Mr. R remind you of Mickey Rourke... with a fancy accent no less..... Anyhow......Thanks for uploading this... I still know the lyrics after 20+ years.....

  • I really love this song! Though I think it is interesting that it messes up in the same spot my VHS tape messes up at 1:43-1:45. Is this a glich in the master copy of the episode? My dad recorded it for me around 1990 on the Public Brodcasting Channel.

  • @Noriko83 yea that sounds werid

  • i cant stop crying. life was so easy back then. i love u star

  • But, we can do things now that we couldn't do then.

  • When I was a kid, hopped up on Formula 44, this made my eyeballs fall out of my head and roll around on the floor. It's an acid trip in low-res public TV format.

    5 stars!!!

  • omg, this is the one i was looking for!! it's weird but every time i was home too sick to go to school this episode would come on.....and i loved it, still do! it always made me feel better for some reason. thanks for posting this, you rock!!

  • You too? I guess I'm not alone! Nice!

  • that was magnificent mourningstar. great use of words. im tearing up/ xD. i also hold this song close to my heart. this song represents my childhood.

  • ha ha ha ha ha I do not think i have ever laughed that hard!

  • Haven't heard this in, like, AGES! Thanks, LPL! ;-)

  • Groovy

  • far out..maybe thats why I grew up loving synth.

  • I never thought I'd hear this again. Thank you so much!!

  • OMG, I haven't heard this in years! Thanks for posting this.

  • who sings this song?

  • Unfortunately, credits for "The Letter People" are sketchy.

  • You know who needs to cover this? They Might Be Giants. John Flansburgh would knock the house down FLAT when he belted this out.

  • I agree this almost even sounds like him!

  • Agreed. I'd also like to hear their take on Mr. Y's song, too!

  • The first time I saw this I was under ten, now I'm pushing 25.

  • lol... 2:28... "So... I AM the One?¿?"

  • I would always hope this episode played when the letter people were on, to hear this song.

  • I come here to listen to this alot! It feels like the band really enjoyed playing this!

  • lol, this song is so trippy.

  • Great song!!! With different lyrics it could have been a 70's hit!

  • Electric Company-ish!

  • Agreed...I could easily hear Skip Hinnant or Luis Avalos singing this.

  • Skip would definitely do this song justice.

  • When I was watching the opening credits for the first time in, like, 18 years, I was till singing along!!! OMG!!! How funny...

  • My favorite song in the entire Letter People series. :) And for some reason I always thought the AR sound goes well in outer space.

  • Makes we want to be in first grade again.

  • I think he says "boy" because he's singing to Mr. R.

  • LOL @ valeriekat786!!!

I always wondered why he said "boy"...

  • he was talking to mr r

  • Have they ever compiled the Letter People songs onto an official cassette tape or record? Gasp, a CD?!

  • love this song...

  • After all these years I'll find myself humming this song from Kindergarden. Weird!

  • Brings back memories of my days in first grade after recess.

  • Strange.. I was looking for an anime named Lucky Star and found this...

  • there's an anime named Lucky Star?

  • Pure 1st Grade Nostalgia!
