Sad that O'Reilly posted this...it really doesn't represent the normal quality of their work. They (either O'Reilly or Cloudera) should have extra bucks for a conf call service + microphones....
I fell sleepy 45 minutes into the presentation. The audio is really for making me sleep - maybe I should download just the audio and play to help me put to sleep in the evening.
I noticed the R&B audio clip at the very beginning, a song called "Blame It On The Alcohol" by Jamie Fox. Regarding the presentation, I have to wonder, did they also use Autotune on the presenter's voice? "Blame it on the vodka, blame it on the Henny...."
A very good introduction for Hadoop and a general understanding of the Map/Reduce programming model. Unfortunately the audio is really bad and it's hard to listen properly.
I can barely listen to this, it's actually almost painful because of the jagged sound. I almost think you decided to torpedo this project and posted this video to turn people off of Hadoop.
Could you please mumble into that tin can a little louder? I'm sorry but I think the audio quality should have been the first priority...the HD video, not so much...

Seriously? Tom White presenter can't be understood. Sounds like his tongue is pierced in multiple places. WTH?

Cloudera's videos are better. So much for brand name quality.

Takes too long to say too little. You could at least cut out the mistakes and administrator talkback.

I can't believe Oreilly would put out a video with barely audible sound.

The audio quality is really, really poor - tinny overtones in everything, but the content is good.

Sound quality is not good, but the content is a great high-level overview of Hadoop and the surrounding technologies supported by Cloudera.
