Nya nya nya, you can't use an iron pickaxe to mine obsidian, nya nya nya you missed diamond.... Guys, seriously? I think that by now he knows pretty much everything about Minecraft, and he made this series for fun and for everybody's enjoyment, not to be annoyed and hounded because he missed a small detail here and there.

Also, I've heard of AC/DC, but I haven't heard an of their songs. :P

Each obsidian block takes 15 seconds to mine when using a diamond pick. It can be broken with a non-diamond pickaxe, but this takes 50 seconds and will not yield a collectible block.

Obsidian found naturally is somewhat rare and difficult to mine since it usually rests on top of a Lava block. Obsidian farming is thus the preferred way to acquire large quantities.

obsidian can make a portal by makeing a space four blocks wid the five blocks up including the four wide block. then fill in the top but not the open space in the middle so it looks something like a doorway. then use flint to light up the obsidian and you have a portal to the nether

If you kan blow up bedrock, you can blow up obsidian

That death was epic. The first time it happened to me, I lost all my new diamond tools and a bunch of other rarer items that I was moving to a new chest down in the lower areas of my base (the lava levels) and lost it all. I'll never carry that much stuff again. Much like flying executives on an airplane, I'll split it up just in case I get sidetracked to go dig with good stuff in my inventory
