  • I can stretch my right leg fine, and I used to be able to do the splits when I was younger (before I quit gymnastics). But now I have problems with my left leg, as the back of my leg (below my knee) hurts when I stretch it. Sorry I wasn't sure which muscle it was..

  • @thuylanortiz I don't know if this is what your talking about but you can do gymnastics what ever age you are it dose not matter but if you want to be really good you should start at a real young age like 2-5 years of age but if you mean like can you start when your 10 you can! You just might be far behind for your age and it will probably be a lot harder for you than it would be for someone who started at like 3 or something

  • Its a warm up, I do it too at my gymnastics facility . She was holding herself up. It's for flexibility .

  • @thuylanortiz you can start at any age. I'm going to start soon and I'm 16. I might wait till I'm 18 to do the adult classes. 10 is a good time to start

  • She's ok but she does need just a little practice to get better at it I'm a gymnast myself I went to class thurday night and went into the tumble track and rand towards the end and did a front handspring and landed on my feet on a sponge block right next to the tumble track for the first time in 3 years I'm a level 2 gymnast but I was in level 4 before I guit when I was 7 now I am 10 tears old

  • People should shut up about her not being so flexible. I find it annoying when I click on videos and the person performing these is completely flexible anyway. I wanted to see some one not fully flexible so in the same position as me and those who also can't already do a perfect split (I'm assuming you're the ones clicking on this). It''s nice that they finally have a video of some one not so flexible who, like us, just wants to improve.

  • im not saying this girl is awful or anything but i really think they should have used a girl who could actually do the splits to demonstrate only because its a video showing you how to get flexible and obviously its not working for her so most people wouldnt try those stretches. am i the only 1 that feels that?

  • @agdollfan333 She's just Obeying what the older girl tells her to do.. They didnt even let her do the full split.. So dont say that she can't do the splits bec. she didnt even did the full split yet..

  • @HeumEul but how do you know she can reall do it? it doesnt show anywhere in the vdeo where she could do it so you dont know for sure. im just saying it would have been more reassuring to know that she could do the splits. as a dancer i like 2 know exercises that actually help so im not wasting my time. im not saying tese stretches dont work, they probably do but it just makes sense to me that they would use a girl who could do the trick. :P

  • @agdollfan333 Haven't u even heard the adult in the video that SHE WILL DO THE FULL SPLIT LATER? its actually the proof that she can do the full split but for now she just want to teach the people that wants to have a full split thats why she's teaching them that they should stretch first for weeks or even months before they can achieve what they really wanted to have..

  • @HeumEul well she never actually did them........... i dont understand why your making such a big deal.. why do you care wat i think? all i did was make a comment and im sorry if i didnt hear every part of the video but even if they said that, she still didnt do them later. i never meant to say she couldnt do her splits at all im saying they should have showed in the video her doing them so you can tell the stretches were paying off.

  • she isn't perfect beacuse this video is not for professional gymnasts! it is easy to be shown by the champion of the gym but it is easier for us to see it by a person who is not that flexible so we see what she does to do the split for example. a very flexy girl would just do the split and we won't see how did she get there...

  • @Kenzie905 everybody is different, try not to compare yourself to other people ,everybody has strengths and weaknesses just keep working on your flexibility but really focus on what your good at

  • Horrible stretching. Didn't even stretch the hamstrings (which if you pull the hamstrings you are out of any type of physical activity for at least a month). Horrible back posture during her "split". Absolutely disgusting split to be honest. Her back leg wasn't even straight he pelvis wasn't to the ground and at least the girl knew to point her toe.

  • @gabriellassh my advice from me is to always push yourself. if splits hurts just keep pushing yourself down.next time your do splits you will be down more

  • im a cheerleader and u for sure need to be flexible cuz it helps with ur jumps, tumbling and stunting (if ur a flyer) so make sure to stretch out!
