  • It's ashame, I bet most of these cars have been scraped :(

  • Interesting video. Love the music! Who is it by? Thanks.

  • The music comes from Youtubes own Audioswop collection. I beleive the artist is Medwyn Goodall. I have tried to find out the name of the music but audio swop doesnt appear to be currently working!

  • Thanks very much for taking the time to look into that! Much appreciated.

  • Youtube has been having connection problems recently but finally I have been able to find the name of the music track and it is TALISMAN by Medwyn Goodall.

  • Hi,

I love these period photos. Excellent.

    Thanks for posting them.

  • Mike that was some collection you got in this slide show you sure find some real odd looking vehicles.

Over the pond we never see that kind of cars and scooters

  • Things were different back in the 1950s and 60s in the UK.Such vehicles were accepted as being normal. We only see them today thanks to those who find and restore them!

  • You've got some superb images in your collection Mike, no music track on this one?...5* Bob

  • Hi Bob! This is a new funny on Youtube! I had selected a suitable background track on Audio swop and the preview played well but no music has been added,Twice! I will have to select another track and see how that gets on!

  • That's odd, I've just done it on my latest and it was fine, did you remember to add it after previewing it..one of our senior moments..Bob

  • After no less than seven attempts this video so far will not accept a soundtrack,. It still says Audio Swop in progress, by the title but so far no sound track gets added! no matter what i select so its going to be a case of silent movies- unless youtube suddenly adds the sound I selected!

  • Hooray! the sound track attached itself overnight! Thanks Youtube!

  • i see at 2-22 is a picture of amada way plymouth, great stills!

  • Very well spotted! It doesnt look anything like that today! Yes i was visiting my parents at home when i took that photo. I had moved to digs in Bristol in 1957 to find work.
