It's ridiculous how underrated the viola is; it's such a beautiful instrument. The people that make comments on other videos saying how the violin or cello is better than the viola grate my nerves... and I'm not a violist.
i've heard this performance, and serova's performance... I don't says that one is better... but actually i think that this is amazing.. and i like this, over than serova's recorded, and so many performances that i've found here..
But I'd like to correct something you said in the description; Casadesus did not write it in the style of J.C. Bach, and in fact the piece (especially the 3rd mvt.) doesn't even sound very much like it was from the classical time period, when Bach lived. The confusion about it is because Casadesus published the piece under the name of J.C. Bach, and it was known as such for many years afterword.
cool song :D i just started playing this song after finishing the first movement and saw the score and got really scared cause of all the ink and notes haha but its actually really nice and slow. Thanks for making the video!
Lovely performance, beautiful music and photos. Unfortunately not by J.C.Bach but by Henri Casadesus. It is neoromantic and bears no resemblance to anything by J.C.Bach, who was a fine composer and great influence on Mozart!

What a sublime and touching music. It was simply his bad luck, immensely talented as he was, that his father was Johann Sebastian. :)

I always said that Johann Christian Bach was a wonderful composer and, unfortunately, nowadays underrated... Thks for uploading
