  • My favorite version of this song....a masterpiece!

  • I simply can't get enough of hearing Sis. Sara sing this!!!This woman of God just had the anointing all over her that night when she recorded this song. I can't enumerate the times that this song has delivered me from bondage!!!The message is great!!!Having vocal talent is great but it takes the anointing to break the yokes of the enemy..and thank God Sis. Sara had both on this recording...first and foremost, the anointing and to top it off flawless vocal ability and control!

  • Glory!!!! My mamma had this one on 8 track tape, LOL!!!! We would have to fan her!!!! She'd be shouting all over the place!!! Hey!!!! Glory!!!!!

My soul need this. right now.. good old fashion gospel.. that woow.. is it.. yes Jesus thank you Lord

  • I am blessed to have this LP, It is fantastic. God bless you all.

  • Thanks for posting! That was how we use to have church at Lorraine Street Church of God in Christ when Bishop Darrett was the pastor. Roslind Darrett on the organ and the whole church praising God. I remember when I was just 10 y.o. watching the saints shout and run down the center aisle. I was afraid when my mother first caught the Holy Ghost. She was holding my cousin and all of a sudden she started crying & screaming. She was 27 y.o. Now I'm 39 y.o. and SAVED and have the Holy Ghost!

  • her voice is so clear. a real soprano!!! being one myself, i can appreciate that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GOD IS SOOOO GOOD!..this oldie but goodie fell on my heart a couple of days ago and wouldn't you know I would find it after forgetting about it and looking for something else?...EVEN SO, COME, LORD JESUS!

  • OH yes Good ole church!

  • Who is on the hammond?

  • Yes that is the Adams Blvd location. And that is Elder Charles Blake at the end of the song. I was a menber his father's (Bishop J.A Blake) church in San Diego at the time. We kept up with all of the West Angeles music stuff back in the late 70's. Back then West Angeles was 'Badest" choir on the West Coast.....Ask anybody who was around then.....remember these names?... Lonnie Morgan, Keith Pringle, Addie, Mary Pittts ,Wiggy, and sister Rose...

  • @unclejohnny777 Oh cool, yeah I know about Keith Pringle, my mom and her church choir did a lot of his music.

  • Scream Sara, squall! Yes!!

  • Amazing! She sang this song at the COGIC Convocation Friday Night Musical. She sounds almost the same!!!! POWERFUL AND PURE!!!!

  • I love this song, I just wish I could hear someone sing it straight... you know, without the soul drags. If you know what I mean. It's a great song.

  • George Beverly Shea is on YouTube singing it straight....I think it's beautiful that we have so much variety in musical rendtions of gospel songs.

  • Hey! that's bishop Blake singing @ the end! lol

  • lol... that wasn't Bishop Blake... that was the minister of music at the time... his name was Patrick something... can't remember his last name

  • Patrick Henderson. That was Bishop Blake at the end. This was recorded at West Angeles back in the day.

  • w i m g trenton nj

  • OMG. Its a photo of the old West Angeles cogic

  • Is that the Adams Blvd. location?

  • Yes that is Adams Blvd Location. And that is Elder Charles Blakemat the end of the song. I was member od his father's (Bishop J A Blake) church in San Diego at the time. We always kept up with West Angeles musical stuff back in the late 70's. We who were in other choirs always thought that West A had the baddest choir on the west Coast. Ask anyone who was around then. Remeber these names?...Lonnie Morgan, Keith Pringle, Addie, Wiggy, Mary Pitts, Sister Rose....Ask the folks in their 50's now..

  • Anybody else remember the gospel album offered on TV in the 80's called "Noways Tired"? I must have only been about 10 years old when my Mama ordered it, and we kids played the heck out of it. 'Specially Andrae Crouch's "Bow Down," and this beautiful song.

We children just loved how SJP must have "got happy" at the end, and we used to "shout" when the praise break part came. (LOL!)

All these years later, I never forgot this sister's incredibly cool soprano and this incomparable arrangement!

  • I remember that! "Bow Down" was one of my favorites too.

  • I remember when Brenda Waters, Carl Preacher and Shirley Joiner who all have past, sung background for Sara. R.I.P Shirley jOiner you will be missed.

  • Beautiful song! What a range! I haven't heard this song in a long time. Takes me back. My mom use to sing it at our church!-LOL

  • Check out my 2 month old foster child who loves this song on the video response.

  • To me she has the sweetest soprano voice in gospel music ever recorded.

  • I've been loving this woman's stirring soulful soprano for about 40 years. I remember her in the 1974 convention in Cleveland, Ohio. She did "For God So Loved the World." and it was a done deal. She is a pioneer who preceded Yolanda Adams and Ce-Ce Winans. She would sing you crazy like right here. I'm about to jump out of my chair. Thanks for posting.

  • I AM IN TEARS! I LOVE DIS NUMBER!

  • That's what happens when Jesus Comes,he leaves us with tears of joy.

  • And the saints went IN!!!

  • Oh my, I hear this on the Noways Tired compilation I have on LP...this is a stellar song!!!

  • its soo good to hear this version after all these years. wow, i didnt know Blake's been pastoring that long. He was pastor even in 1977. Go Bishop!

  • I love Sara.......

  • i like the old one the best (this one!)

  • This may have been SJP's first live SOLO recording, but this is not her first live recording. SJP recorded God Willed It So in Dallas with the Gospel Music Workshop of America.

  • No problem davidgravesjr there are some songs I still can't find since I was in my youth, but there are some songs I did find. Its one song I heard on the radio when I was about 17 years old, some of the words I remember was,"Just TO See HIs Face",If anybody know what this song is Please! let a borther know.
