In sociology there are two main paradigms functionalism and critical theory. This video is obviously promoting an overtly functionalist view of society where the christian church is only a social institution and christianity is only a social function to serve the greater whole of society rather than serving God. I'm an anarchist and promote critical theory where society is viewed on the lines as the struggle between rulers and ruled, oppressors and the oppressed, and ultimately society and God.

But our liberties come from God. How did the narrator of this video manage to say freedom and government in the same sentence without laughing hysterically? If God actually had his way and everybody followed the teachings of Yeshua such as the Golden rule government would quickly dissolve and disappear. Seriously do you think murder, theft, lying,cheating and the erosion of liberty (all elements of the existence of the state) could exist in a world were everyone turned to God.

Government is not natural it is a man-made institution infact the Bible does not describe a government of the Israelites until the Israelites rebelled against God and demanded a King (1 Samuel 8) also look up Hosea 8:4. Many of the prophets described earthly rulers as rebels against God for many participated in idolatry and other ungodly acts. Our Government wants us to believe our liberties come from them since it would be easier to abolish them as well.

Christianity been turned into a hegemony of sociological functionalism ever since the Constatinian shift where the state is viewed very positively and necessary and the church and the christian family should be integrated to meet the needs of the state and society. But the state and God are to often in conflict and who should christians make their God: The state and society or God. You can't choose both.

i disagree with this. the kingdoms and institutions of this world belong to satan, and are against the kingdom of God.

"And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him ALL THE KINGDOMS of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it."

ephesians 6:12 etc. they are the enemy, and the antichrist beast system, and shall be defeated.
