  • "I like seal meat better" I sense a sequel.

  • I believe that many of europeans and americans would act smillar if some asian dude offered some of their nation shit. good vid anyway

  • to jest zbrodnia przeciwko ludzkosci. przykre, kurwa, przykre.

  • @MsPindolek sam jesteś przykry, podobnie byś reagował gdyby ktoś Ci podawał smażone karaluchy zmielone z kukurydzą i liściem kminku. poszerz swoje horyzonty człowieku

  • HAHAHA SPREAD AMERICAN CULTURE.. hahahaha

  • 6:23 It must tastier than the shit burgers lol

  • I'm sure these people had explosive diarrhea after this. Possibly even food poisoning. They're not used to this stuff!

  • Stacy Peralta from Dogtown Z boys

  • This is why if you watch so many of us real foodies in here for the most part make some really XLNT meals, OK some of them are high in calories, but it seems like most of us make wholesome foods that are not loaded with chemicals and crap to the best that we can control that!

  • I truthfully do not think I would want to introduce our fast foods to other cultures as you can see just how bad of shape a large chunk of Americans are from it! You just can't make everyone a hamburger lovin' American! So let's give all those Asians high blood pressure and diabetes and all other things that afflict us by eating that shit!

  • Manapau and spam musubi please!

  • BIG MAC!

  • @HZNW5 waaaa da poooor baby

  • OH SHIT PORTABLE BROILERS SON

  • Comment removed

  • Why don't they bring alcohol and drugs to these innocent cultures next? I'm sure they'll love that initially too until it completely rapes their culture and community. FUCK YOU Burger King and all big business that puts profit before people and the planet.

  • @mssnovello ...dude calm down theyre just burgers damn

  • @mssnovello are u kidding EVERY and i mean every culture has alcohol

  • Lol what the fuck is this how Burger King percieves their burger. A fucking solution to everything? Now all these people are gonna die from a heart attack

  • @HZNW5 BURGER KING TASTES BETTER THEN THAT ARTIFICIAL TASTE THAT McDONALDS DISH OUT!

  • Americans do any thing to show and approve that they are the most civilized people in this world!!! Americans make this because their history is poor and full of blood!!!

American culture is BigMac, beer, movies, sex and war!!!!!

  • this documentary is a good idea to see whats the reaction of people that never seen a hamburger or McDonalds advertisement...

  • I don't see nothing wrong about this advertisement

  • @LCardoso17 I agree with you there mate 100%

  • On one hand it's great when cultures come together, but I think giving our processed, trans-fat horror burger to those who live without toxins and stuff in their food is like handing them a plague with a smile.

  • Dont try this at home folks it could be hazardous to your health

  • Yea right, Big Mac is the best.

  • Ugh, some of these people are living in severe poverty, and instead of helping them, we want to put burgers in their hands and watch their reactions.

Kind of like those nature shows that invade animals' lives in order to create entertainment/education material for humans. Same kind of attitude here... They're objects for our use.

Say no to all exploitation - go vegan!

  • the guy said it, seal meat is way better!!!!

  • This is horrible.

  • thank god I'm a vegetarian

  • God this has left me depressed.

Its depressing because it is a horrible vision of the near future for these people. In twenty years they will end up losing their culture and become homogenized with the rest of western "culture". They will abandon their traditional foods in preference for this unsustainable junk food, not only will they become obese, they will help contribute to the ecological disaster this sort of diet creates.

The Burger represents so much more then just a Sandwich.

  • @Gibbon62 It's a just a damn hamburger dude

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LMFAO OMG, The Closest thing White Americans have to a Culture is A DAMN HAMBURGER.... OH Man that's rich... They go to other foreign cultures to share cultures and what is the Exchange, a fuckin hamburger...

  • Controversy aside, this is pretty fascinating.

  • the hamburgers we eat will never look like the hamburgers they were given lol

  • Great they just brought obesity to eastern europe. now they'll get addicted and fly over to the states just to get another fix

  • @TrinityNicea didnt you see the faces? they found it disgusting

  • TeeHee! this makes me hungry =D

  • Nice. Those 'Romanian' Guys are actually szekler Hungarians...

  • hahaha I saw this ONCE in passing on TV, and said "was that Stacy Perelta?" now I know IT IS!!! wtf, wasn't gleaming the cube bad enough?

  • It's a sandwich Burger King, don't act like it sparked world peace now...

  • My GF makes me a good sammich.

  • Whopper is much better yeah

  • Making America fat is not enough.

We want to gain even more wealth.

Even if it requires spreading the modern day epidemic: obesity. -Burger King Inc.

  • I can't even articulate how wrong this "documentary" is. I feel just awful watching it, as if I'm watching people give crack cocaine to babies.

  • People are dumb, all over the world. Do you think that if they're Eurpopean it rules them out from being an asshat? No, and neither does being from the US or any culture...

God knows how the fuck such comments arrive from a video about sharing different food with different people.

  • *European

  • BIG MAC: 7 WHOPPER: 27 NO PREF: 6

  • it is shameful how americans feel like missionaries, as if the world was dying to try their burgers. Have you americans ever tried the real food of other countries? I mean REAL, not taco bell or olive garden stuff. Getting the american lifestyle overseas is not a good mission or goal, get it in your heads.

  • Let me first state that I do eat food from other cultures, (not including Chinese fast food and Taco bell [is Taco Bell even food?]) and so I am not some isolationist American. Now the statement, I do think it is interesting and neutral (not good or bad) that they did this test. I mean, to say this is wrong is to encourage the same isolationism in those people that you accuse America of. They weren't forced, they volunteered. (And they weren't poor or starving. They were working class.) Not bad.

  • Americans don't feel like missionaries because of this, you d-bag. This is a Burger King *commercial*.

  • HEY GUYS WHAT'S GOING ON

  • Whoppers all the way!!!

  • ohh fuck america........fuck ur food like burgers the junk food (the bigest % of fat people is in america) so u dont have traditional food only junk and frozen food, and you abuse the poor people "AMERICANS ARE THE BEST!" take your shit and get out!

  • Harsh dude...ppl r not gonna like u if u talk like that! im american and i have NEVER ate a burger in my life, not kidding. Some of us really watch what we put in our mouth's, i don't drink soda either and im REALLY healthy!

  • yeah america is the greatest country in the world and not because americans say so. it's because all other nations established iit by continually try to say how they are better than them. you also on the other hand is also a retarded bitch. you try to defend yourself by saying you never had a burger or drank soda and then bash it by saying you watch what you put in your mouth like it's so bad. have fun not enjoying life, you know there's people who eat fast food and are healthier than you.

  • What makes this world so good is sharing and tasting other cultures food. Even though it's still advertising at the end of the day this kept me interested until the end.

  • I am in support of globalization. When does it ever hurt to try something new? No one got hurt, and I learned a little bit more about these people's cultures. All-in-all, a good day.

Props to Burger King for showing a fair taste test, without editing out the parts where people said bad things about their products

  • wow all those people are so beautiful and intresting...

  • Y0U KN0W, i FiDN it UTTERLY SURPRiSiNG THAT ALL 0F Y0UR F0REiGNERS THAT HAVE C0MMENTED w. NEGATiVE FEEDBACK 0N THE ViDE0 HAVEN'T MENTi0NED Y0UR 0WN GREAT 'CULTURAL EXCHANGES' w. 0UR GREAT C0UNTRY! iTS A REAS0N Y0U'RE HERE ALS0!

    ::L0L::

  • sorry, I meant awful.

  • aweful.

  • This is so messed up dude.

  • I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

  • You killed their innocence, now they're going to be expelled from paradise

  • i agree. these people had their own customs, their own traditions, their own ways of eating that were a thousand times healthier than our disgusting american fast food burgers that they have now been exposed to. this is wrong and abusive of these people who did nothing to deserve this.

  • you guys are the fucking DUMBEST, fucking DUMBEST people i've ever read comments of and all i do is read and reply to talk shit. this is a fucking dream. you're so fucking stupid, why don't we show them youtube and the power of the internet and then complain about how they would see how the world see's them as dirt fuckin poor people. you won't win poll versus people who likes burgers and don't, it's only the people who dislike burgers that have something stupid to say if you havn't noticed stfu

  • Just to show how powerful advertising really is! Happy BK shared their food culture with the HMONG-Thai. ^ ^ I'm sure no one got hurt. && besides it wasn't only the Hmong who were "Whopper Virgins" : P

  • It's funny to see these idiotic people being (or pretendin to be) fascinated by people's first reactions to the great invention of a hamburger (which has been around since forever by the way...). - As if putting a piece of meat between two pieces of bread was so genius and we can't imagine how fascinating is that someone never tasted that. - And people wonder then why we Europeans look down on Yankees? - I mean look at this video. Nothing in particular, just the spirit in which it's made.

  • you're the only one taken a fucking shit over it and i'm tired of hearing you're stupid fucking comments. who gives a fuck, they made a video those fuckers didn't know how to eat a hamburger as if they never had a fuckin sandwich before. with something SOOOOOOOO recognized by 99% of the world it is kinda funny, i know why they might not know but it's still INTERESTING. so seriously just go fuck yourself, it was all just for fun and promotion not looking to win any awards. you're retarded.

  • Maybe you should learn about your lang... well, "your"... the language you use as your first language that you adopted from the British... you know things like difference between "you're" and "your". It would kind of give your "we Americans aren't the dumb ones, but Euros are" more credibility. - I wonder which country is really "centuries behind"... Maybe the one where 90% of people believe in an invisible man in the sky? Or where about a third of the population believe in angels? ANGELS? LOL.

  • are you fucking retarded? you're going to call out spelling errors and then accuse me of believing in faggot jew jesus not real christ? your comment didn't even make sense really and was bad.

  • Would u sukk my balls? Coz I'd love that

  • haha there we go, that makes more sense, i'd love to as well. after you eat a whopper i'll let you suck my balls to get the taste out of your mouth.

  • The British don't have a patent on the English language. Our's is called American English.

  • 1) I'm not British; I speak five languages, English is not even my third.

    2) There are indeed 'Oxford English' and 'American English' and I understand the difference. I agree British don't have 'a patent' on the language.

    3) Ours is the first person plural possessive pronoun, not "our's". In both British and American English. Learn your own language a bit better.

P.S.: I do mistakes too, but at least I have an excuse...

  • You seem to be a very angry person with a chip on your shoulder. Yes, I make mistakes in my first language, so do many people I know from several different first language backgrounds.

You know what? I can't spell for beans either; I use Firefox to correct my words and MS Word to correct my punctuation. My students usually don't mind the mistakes as I am instructing them on Quantum Mechanics. But, perhaps I am just a simple American idiot.

  • BTW, I do appreciate the correction, except for the fact that it was backhanded and belittling. I am always looking to be corrected, as I do not want to be wrong. But you should do so in a civilized manner.

  • While I agree, you used a brash manner and showed ignorance while doing so. You should take note that you are on the Internet. Do you realize how few people give a damn about rules of the English language in the actual United States, let alone the Web? The United States raises its children these days with no backbone, no reason to achieve and no reason to care. It makes for an easily controllable society, which sickens me. Regardless, exercise more thought before making yourself appear the fool.

  • @StupidButCunning 100% with both your comments. Couldn't agree more

  • The only reason I can think of for Europeans to look down on Yankees is because they are Mets fans. *rimshot*

But seriously, how low does your self-esteem have to be to look down on an entire nation's people just to feel superior to them?

  • The hamburger may have been perfected in the States and thrust upon the world courtesy of McDiddles and the forces of globalization, but it is commonly held to be a German development based on steak tartar recipes brought back from the Baltic states.

If they wanted to take a true American original to the unspoilt regions of the world they should have taken gumbo. Now that's authentic.

While I got no problem with burgers, there is something ugly about this video.

  • Cause this video makes people far from flung cultures look like guinea pigs. And THAT's loathsome.

  • Since when does Burger King sell gumbo bright-guy? Whats ugly about cultural exchange? They aren't going to build a Burger King out there in the village, this is the only time those people will eat this in their life. Plus, like the guy said "seal meat is better." Now watch the SNL version.

  • You might thing taking fake plastic food to people who won't likely ever have access to it is "cultural exchange," but I beg to differ. Had the director/producer of that video shown what the locals shared with them, then we could talk about "exchange."

And I never said BK sold gumbo jackass, so take your snarky comment and shove it.

  • Americans are the most stupid people in the world and they're trying to poison everybody with their even more stupid food ! Most of the american teenagers don't even know anything about the countries pictured in this video, let alone have an idea about the fact that these countries actually have traditions and values! There is nothing cute about this video ! I think it it offensive and cruel !

  • I agree. An utterly ugly video.

This video seems to be the main difference between EU and USA. Americans don't seem to notice what is so ugly about it.

  • ugly about what?

  • the difference between EU and the US is that you guys always talk shit about US like you're in competition with "the best country in the world", jealous much? nobody knows or gives a fuck about these countries because get real. good for them they have their own traditions but it's not important to teach and know things about a civilization who is centuries behind. you're all fucking stupid and ignorant, i think a lot of americans or dumb i think a lot of people in europe are dumb.

  • There is not such thing as "behind" when you talk about cultures moron.

  • you're taking things too far, i can't but call the people idiots for being offended of this video. it's a positive thing and not a negative. no one was forced to eat anything.

  • i agree. these people had their own customs, their own traditions, their own ways of eating that were a thousand times healthier than our disgusting american fast food burgers that they have now been exposed to. this is wrong and abusive of these people who did nothing to deserve this. the fast food marketing is treating people from foriegn countries like guinea pigs. its ugly and cruel.

  • You have always been an american, you will not understand what neea28, LichtungNym and I are saying because of your cultural background. You are not able to se how america fucks the world little by little with economic and cultural imperialism. Europe used to do it too, lets be honest, but they stopped like 50 years ago!! Many americans don't get it because they do not see what is behind that Whooper. It is just a commercial, but there are MANY things implied in it.

  • i think it was cute they made thosse people happy and they where excited to try something new we all geet excited trying something new there is no need to get hostel about this documentary. they people that where there had a good experience and wanted to share it that is all. if it is just a burger why are you all so mad ?

  • on 4:36, the guy with the long hair looks like the village stoner XD

  • stacy peralta haha

  • Not like this is a life changing documentary or anything...

  • Great, now these villagers are going to have diseases and die younger.

  • not like they aren't dying already of aids and poor health care. nice joke btw

  • get out of your fucking games and into the real world asshole.

  • I think it is just absolutely hilarious that this so-called documentary is trying to take such a serious tone. It's only a hamburger, a fast-food one at that. I'm sure there's plenty of food from different cultures that Americans haven't tried nor heard of, it's not that crazy that these people didn't know what hamburgers were.

  • ? it's not surprising that they don't know what a hamburger is because it's evident that they tell us that they have never tried one before. but the reason it's strange is because the hamburger is probably the most recognized entree in the world and how it has pleased millions of people world wide. not everyone likes a hamburger but it would be ignorant to say it's not liked by majority.

  • they aint jux crap marketing they also making hmong people look stupid "these people" WTF?! these people? like there is no hmong people in the us? thats falking soo offesnsive haters need to get they fact streight!

  • they arent haters. they just gave them a freaken burger. they r not trying to make us look stupid. dont be so offended. im hmong by the way. they may look stupid in the documentary, but they r just trying out a burger for their first time. u may look stupid when u first tried anything. hey that may apply to everyone.

  • how come people keep trying to compare whoppers with big macs instead of quarter pounders?

The whopper and big mac really arent all that similar.

  • i agree. i think the double quarter pounder would be the best out of the two. im lovin it

  • i love bigmacs :D

  • Burger king is just bad for you!!! point blank..

    its bad for your wealth

  • "I like seal meat better."

  • this is what I call "spreading the wealth" =))

  • BK and MCD are killing half of the population in Amazonian Forest to grow the cows they use for the meat. Why didn't you go there to do this test? Why do you want to pollute the world with crap marketing?

  • The world's already screwed. Just enjoy your final days like everyone else. I would like to enjoy my final days eating BK.

  • yeah but how is bk going to help?

you can enjoy it all you want, im not stopping you. lol

  • stop spreading your food to the world.

its going to make the world worst.

    dumb people at BK

  • That makes no sense.

  • I wonder if a whopper can stop the war

  • Yeah! White mans burden... i mean burger!

    OMFG.

  • We travel all the way around the world to share something American with people in distant lands, and what do we hand them? A freakin' Whopper??

    What's next? Taco Bell?

  • there is Burger King in Romania at the Baneasa Shopping City trade centre in Bucharest... this is just another stupid commercial that makes american believe once again that there's no tv's and no electricity anywhere else besides USA. They fail to say that they have chosen the most isolated areas in Romania (i am from Romania). As far as i know i've been to places in USA that are far wors than those villages... Yep ..right here in the greatest country in the world. And fast food is crap anyway

  • dam wonder how much they spent on making this lol

  • Ok, here's my thing. Burger King is corrupting people's minds to crave burgers. This isn't for a test, its to raise sales. If they really thought this was a genuine test, come kiss my a**. And its no God damn wonder that Green lander likes seal meat better! Burger King and McDonalds sometimes use diseased cows for God's sake!!!! My rating: ub3r pha1l.

  • im surprised no one has figured this out, but the subtitles might not be accurate at all. For all I know, that guy could be pointing to the Whopper and saying "This tastes like rotten fish!"

and for everyone slamming on america, quit generalizing us. Not all of us are stuck up, thank you very much.

  • You know, I don't see why you should have the right to hate on America because of this, yes, they shouldn't have done this because people can live without fast food, but still. They wanted to see how people would react to new things, even though it wasn't a good idea.

  • @pinkgraco I pretty much live without fast food. 95% of my diet is composed of Steak, eggs, chicken, pork, pastas and a variety of others; all of which I make myself. I rarely eat out and when I do, my system doesn't take kindly to it.

  • @StupidButCunning don't forget that people with a full schedule living in a city it's hard to be a "sir" and go eat at home... I don't like fast food either but there are lots of people that don't have much money to spend daily during a month with the rendiment of a student or people with the min. wage and that work daily.

I'm a student and I only cook dinner because it's the only time of the day that i'm home. During the day I have to eat in small restaurants, subway or to a pizzeria.

  • @LCardoso17 Yea, I am a student on a fixed income, so money's tight. I find I spent at least 10 times as much eating out as I do preparing my own meals at home.

  • @StupidButCunning you just got to find lowcost places to eat... yes, it can be cheaper to eat at home... but during the day where do you eat if you don't have time to cook or even go home??

  • Oh, yeah, and...it's actually a VIRTUE to NOT know a FUCK about "fast food culture". Period.

  • And you wonder why people hate americans. I've never used to hate them, but I'm starting to... How about a documentary on how fucking dumb the vast majority of the americans are??? Oh, wait, done before...sorry. Fast food culture, yeah, e really "great" american achievement. That's why you're all battleship-sized. Cheap, patronizing attitude. Makes me sad, not even angry. :(

  • i don't understand what the fuss is about. this is a really cool documentary no matter if u like or hate bk. its cool to see other countries eat foods they've never seen. imagine if they did it to us where we live. i think it would be interesting.

  • Dude it's not other countries eating food they've never seen, it's peasants outside the real world eating hamburgers. I should know, I'm from Romania and those "romanian" people eating hamburgers are from a close society not interested in anything new. We have hamburgers for at leas two decades so it's just a big bulls..t

  • It's funny they didn't mention that they were visiting really isolated locations. Lol. People might think that all romanians don't have access to TV and that we live in trees / caves :)) and have NEVER heard of burger king and mcdonalds :))).

Anyhow, i tried both burger king stuff and mcdonalds stuff and both weren't special ;)

    (it's just crappy food)

  • Yes it would be the same thing as presenting an PS3 or XBOX to some children from an Amish community or a hot coffee to an isolated African tribe and say, in case of the Amish: this is how American children react after seeing a PS3. And for the African tribe: this is how the people from the African continent react after drinking a hot coffee.

  • Just for your info, coffee originates from Afrika, Ethiopia. Drinking a hot coffe would not be new to them LOL.

  • Utterly patronising, arrogant and typically American. I suppose what would one expect from a nation that holds a flattened piece of minced cows' eyes and assholes in high regard?

  • And Waterbeing, stick to your own British thoughts and stop criticizing America, or I will do the same to you tea-drinkers and biscuit-eaters.

  • oh yea because snails, frogs legs, blood sausage and all the other disgusting crap europeans eat is so much better.

  • To be honest it is.

  • give me a double cheese burger over baloot and haggis any day.

  • EXACTLY!

  • @MrPisster Uh, yeah

  • BURGER KING SUX !! burger king e de cacat :))

  • what the fuck is wrong with burger king? Don't get me wrong I love the whopper, but wtf is this shit?

  • It's a documentary that details the experiences of whopper "virgins" or more generally burger "virgins". As is clear in the documentary they're doing taste tests. In order to get the best and most truthful results possible they seek out isolated communities who are not exposed to advertising and have no idea as to what a hamburger, big mac or whopper is.

  • Allthough its evidently unscientific, since no culture would claim that the food their guests gave them is disgusting. This is purely a commercial.

  • wendy's classic burgeris better, it taste like it's home made. the whopper and big mac gives me the runniest shit ever. what do they put in it? grease and lettuce?

  • whopper is shit, fuck buger king, nasty fake ass shit, taste like school food

  • young males tend to like the whopper better
