At least 21 countries bombed since second world war, sometimes illegally, most of the time very far from USA and anyway never attacking america on its ground.

I am retired Air Force. To all of the young men and women who are joining, you who are America's future airman, take pride. Pride in knowing you are following in the footsteps of great men and women. Back to the days of the Army Air Corps to today. You may not enjoy every moment when you are in, but I know for a fact you will come to cherish every second when you have to leave. Keep tradition but improve upon the old. Remember your core values and hold your heads up high.
@jbrooks1111 There was a family member on my mom's side, who was in the WWI Army Air Corps, and there's a picure somewhere of them, standing next to their plane. My one ancestor on my dad's side, was in the Civil War, (general for the last 2 years of the Civil War,) my uncle was in the navy in WWII, my grandpa in the Coast Guard in WWII, m great grandpa in the Army Medical Core driving an Ambulance in WWI, etc. On a PC game called FSX, I run a "Virtual AF", based off the WWI&II Army Air Corps.
24th and 1002nd Security Police Vet here, Dad was dorsal turret gunner on a B24 in among other capers the Ploesti Raid. Having said that, I think it's funny that the USAF service a0them is the only one to mention the possibility of defeat (We live in fame or go down in flame?) I mean, the Navy doesn't sing about being sunk! Maybe we flyboys are just honest.
@vonmazur1 The original line was "Nothing can stop the Army Air Corps!" Of course this was changed when the Air Force was made into a separate service following World War II.
@MegaObserver1 Actually, they changed it twice, from "Army AIr Corps" to" Army Air Force", and finally "U S Air Force..." I learned all the versions of course!!'\
Where are the other three verses? This is only the beginning verse. What about " Here's a toast, to the host, to those who love the vasiness of the sky'?!
@KelleyAnne41193 usually the air force sings only the first verse, because other three verses are not mandatory for memorization, but ask around from any air force personnel they will all know the first verse
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This is actually the song of the US Army Air Corps. The Air Farce stole it when they were foolishly made a separate service in 1947. The Air Farce should adopt the song Air Farce Blue for their use, and give Wild Blue Yonder back to the Army Aviation Branch from whom they stole it.
If you would like to be a murderer for the benefit of the US corporate elite and put even more of a burden on US tax payer then please, join the military. You will get the chance to kill innocent civilians, destroy communities and act as if what you are doing is for the good of mankind when in fact what you are doing is borderline fascism.
i know u posted this a while ago.. but think of it.. if we didnt have anyone out there.. terrorist would be destroying our nation.. no one be able to protect us when there is a threat goin on.. think things through before u criticize
@felon95 , I agree. You might want to add this: in the last few months before Pearl Harbor, a bid to eliminate the US Armed Forces was defeated in Congress by a margin of one vote. Had the voting gone otherwise, Hitler, Togo and Mussolini might have won the war...
Damn, i need to learn all the other verses..
